So, Ive been re-watching from the pilot episodes, and have taken note of some behaviors by Locke. The first thing I noticed was how Locke was this "hunter/adventurer" type as soon as he gets on the island, but when we see his life back-story, he kind of comes off as a pansy-ass (father issues, getting attached to a phone sex operator, etc). Also, when he is telling Walt how to play backgammon, he asks "can you keep a secret?" and we have yet to find out WHAT that secret was (as well as the "light vs dark" reference) Then he helps Charlie with his heroin addiction, the "The island told me" comments, and with all the injuries (numerous leg injuries, being shot). All these things, plus more that I cant think of off the top of my head, have made me wonder, what if Locke has been Jacob this whole time, until he was killed by Ben, thus starting or possibly interrupting the process known as "the loophole" that Jacob spoke of at the beginning of Season 5 Finale?

My other theory is about Richard Alpert....short and simple, Black Rock. Did anyone take notice of the Black Rock at the beginning of the Season Finale?

Let me know what you think, and/or any other theories. Please keep in mind, I'm not claiming to be right, just a theory based on observations ive made

What do you mean did anyone notice the Black Rock. Do you think we watched the opening scene with our eyes shut? And sorry yo uarent the first to think RA is from the black rock. Him building the boat in the bottle is also leaning towards that too.

The secret that Locke told Walt was him regaining the use of his legs

Well, first of all we need to be very clear on one point, ---- I have been seeing on many theory threads that everyone is assuming the ship we saw in the start of the last episode was the Black Rock, --- this in itself is just what it is --just assumptions, -- that does not have to be the Black Rock, {although it certainly might be, we really don't know for sure}
Regarding Ben, --- I believe the "aniJacob" guy may have been in Bens body for a period of time {probably after the Temple had saved his life from Syids gunshot wound}, that was probably aniJacob in his process of "finding a loophole", -- then when Jacob came to realize Ben was inhabited by antiJacob, that's when Jacob allowed Ben to get cancer {or whatever that illness was that Jack cured him of}
Now it seems as though the antiJacob guy is in Lockes body and Jacob seemed to be almost daring Ben to go ahead and stick that knife in him, why, -- well Jacob is going to be now infilltrating Bens body, -- so at some point next season we may realize that Ben is Jacob and Locke is the antiJacob guy.

This was brought up in another thread that when Jacob touched Ben he went into his body and the Locke we saw was really the guy in the black shirt on the beach.
This whole finale and the few episodes before where we first sawJLsitting in the hooded black robe on the beach talking to the Ajira passegers reminds me of star wars and the emperor is JL in the hooded robe turning Ben to the dark side. its just what I thought and knowing what i know about TPTB and their love for star wwars it is very possible a connection.

Who's to say black represents evil and white represents good????
I know its universal understanding but who's to say that's correct in our tv show? could be the opposite way about, everyone assumes jacobs good but I'm not truely convinced yet, maybe i'm just wishful thinking.

Also I genuinely beleive if there has been someone on the island all along its jack, he's in the one in season one who is very calm. Where as I beleive Locke is all mystefied cause he's just regained usage of his legs!! after that man said he should go on a walkabout.

Who knows what happens in a guy's mind after, being paralyzed, he can suddenly walk again. Of course he's gonna start feeling special, and he's gonna think that he was cured because of the island. So basically, there's nothing in what you've said to support your argument.

I believe Locke has been himself until Ben killed him. I agree the fact that he came back from being paralyzed would change anyone's life. I didn't really notice really odd behaviour from him till he came back from Ben killing him. I knew something was off with him and finding out he was the anti-jacob in the finale explained alot.

So he says that "the islands special", and thats it? why dont YOU try re-watching the series and pay more attention to locke and the way he acts throughout the SERIES, not just the episodes prior to him saying "the island is special" and see if maybe it changes your mind. Be more open minded
