Up till today I never watched any episode a second time.
Now today I watched the first pilot for a second time...and it was yes years ago that I saw it for the first time.

It was not that great to watch it again.
But there was one thing I noticed. In this first episode, one of the characters that becomes a major character doesn't say a word.
We only get a glimpse of him standing cool and relaxed smoking a cigarette as if nothing has happened...like as if it is very common to crash with an air craft and seeing people in panic etc...
Sawyer didn't do a thing, didn't say a thing just observing the whole event, as if he was not on the plain himself.

we also see sawyer boarding the plane in the season 1 finale during the slow-motion montage at the end showing everyone boarding the plane. remember, arzt helps claire with her bag, charlie is attempting to shove his guitar into a closet, jack and locke smile and nod at each other, the guy sitting next to sayid stares at him like he's a terrorist, boone hands shannon her inhaler, hurley walks in all sweaty at the end and gives walt a thumbs-up...

Well I didn't write this because I think he wasn't on the plane. He was on the plane as we are shown during the episodes that follow.
But he was so relaxed in all the chaos. And didn't say anything.
And I didn't notice that when I watched it the first time.
So watching this first pilot a second time wasn't that great, because there is only one thing that I noticed that I didn't remember from watching it a single time. :)

At the time, Sawyer was supposed to be more of a slick, suit wearing, wealthy, con-artist from the midwest. Then they changed it to allow him to being a southerner.

There was a deleted scene where Charlie bums a smoke from him, and I think he talked then.

Maybe they changed it due to accent change, and just shut him up in part one.

Just thinking out loud...

It's cause Sawyer's just cool that way ;)
