Island swinging back and forth in time

Maybe the 108 machine held it in place in time, now that its gone, it's veering back and forth in time. Maybe thats the whispers. Why people are 'cured' or come back (jacks dad) or women can't give birth (90 year old wombs).

Just a theory that came to me this evening. I haven't really seen this one anywhere.

Hey everyone I'm new to this whole thing so hi! I've had a theory going since season 1 and now with these episodes of season 4 that have come out I am possitive that the island is actually Shangri-la or Shambala. It's a Tibetan myth about a lost paradise land behind the mountains. This lost valley is cut off from the world and all the wisdom of the human race is conserved there in preperation of immenent catastrophe. Its the novelist James Hiltons story from the 1930s but can be dated back all the way to mid 900A.D. The book that Hilton wrote is called LOST Horizon. The reason I think that's significant past just the name is because of the popularity Hollywood made a feature about Shangri-la and since then it became known simply as a lost paradise (as opposed to the tradition Tibetan myth which suggests that the land of Shambala is actually in the Himilayas). If that's not enough to fuel some more theories the present Dalai Lama says this about Shambala: "Nowadays, no one knows where Shambala is. Although it is said to exist, people cannot see it, or communicate with it in an ordinary way. Some people say it is located in another world, others that it is an ideal land, a place of the imagination. Some say it was a real place, which cannot now be found. Some believe there are openings into that world which may be accessed from this. Whatever the truth of that, the search for Shambala traditionally begins as an outer journey that becomes a journey of inner exploration and discovery."

And I'm sure it's just a reminder at this point that the literal translation of Dharma is:'that which upholds or supports' (from the root 'Dhr' - to hold), here referring to the order which makes the cosmos and the harmonious complexity of the natural world possible. A possible clue as to how the initiative fits into all this...

So now we know what the island is!????!.....? Now if I could come up with a good explanation for Jacob and those dang numbers! If anyone can translate Roman Numerals that high I've been thinking that that might be something to do with Hurley's numbers but as for the others I would look for some Tibetan or Buddhist roots.
