When he left the hatch, after he thought he screwed up the computer,Jack caught up with him and Desmond remebered him when Jack asked "what are you running from, you don't even know why your running".Well,Jack already knew who he was so my question is did Jack make that leap of faith at that point?Did he think Desmond had all the answers about why they were there, just like Locke kept saying. It's no coincedence this all happened to them.I believe Jack was trying to make a leap of faith there and thought Desmond knew about them and the island, but Des just rembered Jack so he didn't make the leap to anyone ,but inside himself. He couldn't make himself ask.Any thoughts

Jack said "Why are you running? You don't even know what you're running from?" B/c he just didnt understand why Desmond would stay in that station for 3 years pushing the button. Jack thought it seemed crazy that Desmond was so scared and running away for something Jack thought was a big joke. I dont think Jack starts to realise they have a purpose or meaning to be on the island until the after island events. So i dont think a leap of faith was occuring then. haha

But he doesn't deny it either. He does return to the hatch and continues his shift. He just doesn't want the resposability of the burden
