Long story short: We're getting Richard Alpert's backstory, who dropped the food in season 2, it appears that Charlie's back, and strong hints were left that the bomb Juliet detonated reset everything. There were commercials that pointed to this fact: one of Oceanic Airlines having "30 years of a perfect safety record" from 1979-2009. That means that 815 never crashed in 04. Also, Hurley did a commercial where instead of winning the lottery he came up with a great chicken recipe in Austrailia and sold it to Mr. Clucks to become rich instead.

A "reset" would really make this show completely different from what I thought TPTB said its going to be. I thought I heard them say that its not going to be like a "Back to the future" type of movie where they can change the past. A "reset" is just that. If its true that Jack does battle with the JL we are seeing in S6 than a "reset" would mean that this will occur sometime much later than 2007 where iLocke had Ben stab Jacob. i say this because if the vidoes are show related from ComiCon, the Losties are back in the world and Hurley is eating chicken and Oceanic is "smooth sailing" so to speak in 2007. So Jacob wouldnt be dead to begin with, JL wouldnt be dead and taken over by beach ball and the discussion between Jacob and Beachboy wouldnt apply to them and JL wouldnt be used for the "loophole" or involved at all in this dilema sine he wouldnt have come to the Island to begin with. So a "reset" to me doesnt make sense. It might to others but not me. I guess we can all speculate till S6 and finallyhave the answer to questions like this by shows end
