He was so creepy. I think he may have been one of The Others, or part of the people that are on the boat. He definately seemed like he wanted to take Hurley back to the island. Because he said that he could take him to a nice place where he could see the ocean. I think the "lawyer" wanted to see if everyone else was alive, so he could find them and perhaps take them back to the island. Whatever his motive, he was definately threatening. They made his eyes look weird, anyone notice?

I think that possibly the secret that Hurley, Jack and Kate (so far the ones we know of that are the Oceanic 6) are keeping is of the island. When Hurley is being questioned by Ana Lucia's partner he never asks Hurley if he met her on the island...just if he met her on the plane or before. So I think they are probably keeping the fact that there is an island secret and that there are others left behind from the plane that are still there. That's why the man that visits Hurley asks him if "they are still alive". Jack even asks Hurley if he's going to tell. Just a thought :)

Yup!!! This is where I am with this part of the story too. The island (and everything that happened on it) is the secret....

Did you notice though, when Hurley was talking with Jack at the basketball court, he said, "It wants us to go back." I think something very traumatic happens on the island and they are sworn to secrecy but I also think that Jacob may want them to come back and maybe free him because he did ask Locke to help him.

It (the island and all that happened and will) is the secret,I am wondering what plague are they talking about when they told us about Jack's hospital.

Yah in all the websites and video spoilers they have out there regarding season 4, they talk about a plague or a virus. I'm soo curious as to what it is they are talking about.

And I agree that the "it" Jack refers to is the island and that no one in the real world so to speak knows about it. Should be one of the best seasons!

The dude questioning Hurley is the same or another company looking for the ISLAND. Either its the new Dharma, or another company that Ben mentions and/or the freighter boat that is involved. They are interested in making money and/or having power of some kind that the island possesses.

My 2 cents :)

Ms. Klugh was an other. In season 2 she was the one dealing with Michael before they let him go and she was the one who told Hurley to tell his people to never come back to their side of the island, and in season 3 she was caught in the communications station with Mikhail and she ordered Mikhail to shoot her.

I would have to watch it again, but could the man who visited Hurley also be the funeral director in charge of the viewing that Jack attends?

No, it is a totally different guy.
I think he's looking for whatever happend to the people of the Dharma initiative...
BUT, TOTALLY lOVE the idea that they kept "the island" as a secret when the go back.
what a kick in the pants that is...good on ya!

maybe the"plague" is something that was carried to the island by the new people and will have a dramatic effect like Boubonic plague, but not as dramatic as that. From what we know so far, the losties were "chosen" to be brought to the island, maybe they didn't carry it and that the island was isolated from the rest of the world so no one could find it, so it was kind of protected from outside diseases. But now the new people have arrived and maybe are carrying this disease on them

I think the guy was an associate of Penny witmore or perhaps with Penny's dad. With power and money it can get you many things something along those lines was said by Penny to Desmond when she found him running at stadium. I think Desmond is still alive even in the Flash Fwds. Penny knows where the island is thanks to Charlie. Then she finds out about the where abouts of the oceanic six and shows that not just the others can get your personal life. She can get them back a task that they realize they must do now or never be at peace.
