Was I the only one who found it funny that Jack jr. totally screwed things up?

Nice job, letting a Nazi free. Ya Dupe!

What's up with the cloud coming in 1991 ?!?

Haha... what's up Notso?!?

You always seem to be in the midst of things.

I rewound that scene a few times. I wasn't sure if the cloud was important, or the tower.

... glad I'm not alone in picking the cloud. :D

Pretty cool how the flashforward happened before.
(not quite 'wakabout cool' yet... but getting there.)

The cloud reminded me of what you saw in Close Encounters just before the mothership appeared! That was my first thought! I think that the 1991 blackout was just practice.

That was fantastic!

I swear to god, I'm on my third time watching that!

The best is when the scientist says "I hope somebody's getting this down." :D

And when it goes to the Jaws theme and focuses on Richard Dreyfuss!

Thanks!!!

My pleasure. I am glad you enjoyed it so much. :) That's like one of my all-time favorite movies! I can't count how many times I have seen it.

I always think of the mountain made of mud. I never caught the humor in that scene before. :D

OMG! When Richard Dryfus was building the mountain in his living room and threw all that stuff out the kitchen window and brought the hose in through the window! That was hyterical!!!! He was absolutely possessed!!!!

Ok getting back to the topic on this thread...

My interpretation of the tower/cloud is this.

The kid that saw the crows...this was 'just' before a blackout occurred. The crows die a brief moment before it happens for some reason and the boy saw what was the beginning of the 'black out stuff' being emitted from this tower. It seemed that the stuff was slowly growing from the tower.

Although now that I think about this the big flaw in my thinking is that if its slowly emitting from the tower then everyone's blackouts shouldn't be at the exact same time.. Hmmm I tried anyways! ha

I think the little boy was watching the others black out... there were people passed out in the middle of all those birds.

The Boy was awake.

Didn't see that...but I watched it while I was half awake last night so I wasn't paying super close attention to it. I'd really like to know why certain people are immune to this effect. Each episode we are revealed a new person that was alive.

In all fairness, I had a couple of cocktails last night... so I could be wrong too. :D

I watched it again and the scene with the boy when he's looking out at the city does have lots of blobs on the ground. These blobs look much larger than crows and since its near a city I would imagine they are human bodies. I'm thinking you're right with your observation.

The old man said something like "a murder got him released" or something like this.
A large group or flock of crows is called a "Murder".

Ya I didn't realize the murder reference with crows until the end of the episode. I was very ashamed of myself. I should've seen that coming a mile away.

I agree. I think they were testing to see if it would work and than do it on a worldwide stage. Testing it where "they" did they knew that whatever they did wouldnt make headlines or strike a chord with anyone really until they actually started looking for it

The collective nouns for crows that I could find are:
A horde, hover, muster, parcel and murder.

err yeah good question. a bit of linking under the influence, your honour . the expression "a murder of crows" is used in the lyrics of the song, in my mind at that particular time it seemed perfectly logical :D

Ha I figured something like this occurred. I didn't feel like listening to the song but I thought there was some crow reference.
