I thought last nights episode of FlashForward was the best one so far. I found it that way because of two main reasons.
1. Simon talking about Quantum physics. I think this pulled the science fiction guy in me -- closer. I guess also we are seeing now that this was really a science fiction quantum physics experiment of some kind. I'm guessing still with a terrorist connection I suspect....but we'll see.
2. I can see some Law of Attraction stuff happening. As people try so hard to prevent things from happening...they actually cause them to happen. I believe this is reality and is also grounded some what in Quantum Physics as well. The experimenter "affects" the expeirment.
Anyway, what does everyone else think.... Now that I liked an episode, did everyone else hate that episode?

I will let you know after I re-watch it...only caught bits and pieces due to being at the Lost.com Monster Mash and partaking in some of LostSharks brownies....LOL:p:D

I knew it.
I figured as soon as I liked it others were going to say it sucked...maybe they need to intertwine both to keep us all happy.

i have not really read what you all said yet, cause i am only 3 minutes into the episode. and, although i find this first scene with DM cute (and racy...double slit project? dang NOW THAT's racy early prime time) but my tummy is queasy. I feel like some copy catters trying to recreate a lost have spent a few months on all the lost forums and are now spoon feeding back to us what we have been pontificate about for years. ick. i cannot get the ick of this show off me. i do not want to give up on it....but.... idk.
will prolly have more to say after watching it. maybe even change my mind. who knows.
EDIT: ok, the epi was actually good. dm is doing a great job. i do not see charlie at all. that' s good. kangaroo was great. "sawyer court." the nods need to stop imho.
also, nod to Losttime! you called the pregnancy thing last week!!! nice.

I was looking forward to seeing DM play something other than a goof ball/good guy. He did a great job of it. I LOVED that line... "Aren't you glad you asked?"

But thats what people want or are asking for. Give me a Lost II....thats exactly what this is....as close as you can without the "game" concept. You can't keep the game concept because once thats out...its OUT. So you replace it with a criminal/terrorist twist for motivation.

Loved the episode and was very predictable about why she was soo happy in her FF to be pregnant.
When she got shot I thought it was the GSW itself not the procedure she had done that the Drs were going to say she wasnt going to be able to have children. So I was somewhat wrong on the reason but was relating it to her being shot.
Seems the show is fulfilling its visions.
One question. If they knew everyone was going to blackout for a certain period of time, why would they not expect a worldwide disaster? Unless they didnt think it would cause a "blackout"

No, I liked it for the same reasons you did.
There is a lot more foreshadowing on this show than I thought.
Little things that make sense on a second watch.
Lloyd mentions going back home to Paolo Alto (or wherever)
And the boy says "which one?"
(he's playing the card game, so it seems like he's thinking about which card to pick.)

Didnt you think the reason she was overjoyed that she was pregnant in the future was going to have to do with her getting shot and being told she would be unable to have kids?
I thought that was the clue when they were showing her shot on the street last week and than they were flip-flopping between her vision in the FF and her laying shot on the street.
Turns out it was because of the procedure Olivia did on her that ended up being the reason but it all revolved around her getting shot.
it was one of those thins where we can think she was goign to die and her vision wasnt true or that it was because she was shot and told she couldnt have kids is why she was overjoyed from the vision

i hear you. i guess, though, everyone has a different definition of lost II, right? i certainly want that, but in my universe its not copy cat, its just such a good mysterious, unpredictable well done show show that i love it TOO like i love lost. i do not need it to be about the same things. i guess i do not really want lost part duex.
DM is gonna save the show, if anything. he is really good as this ambiguous bad guy type. really good. hating joseph fiennes though - the lead FBI. he is so one note and way to brooding. at least jack laughs sometime and has more then one facial expression.
LT, i don't know what you are talking about. last week there was a debate between you and ...someone and you said it seems obvious that whatever happened with the GSW was gonna make it impossible or hard for her to have kids. seemed to me thats what happened. she was shot, at first they thought they had it taken care of in the first surgery, but no. second surgery they did that procedure in an effort to avoid removing the entire uterus. but, its the GSW that caused this problem. you were spot on.
also 3D: you weren't annoyed by the spoon feeding of that first scene?

lol.
Lots of different people watching the show. Theres a lot of spoon feeding going on in Lost and its goning over everyones head. Its getting me worried actually that either season is going to be dull because they are going to have to really make things obvious or the show will end with a lot of people not understanding it.

I noticed A LOST tribute my self last episode. I noticed the FBI symbols on the collaers kinda looked like Dharma symbols from certin angles. I noticed them when they where investgating the blue hand house. I made out the octogon shape and the horzontal lines within the octogone and then dead center was a symbol. Not sure what it was. I just took it as a FBI symbal.

To me when she got shot and the images poped up of her flash FWD. To me symbolized a heads or tails toss up rather or not her future was true or did this event changed it. It turns out it was one of the steps needed to make her future. Just like everyone else has taken the necserry steps to make the future happen. I say the next time the see another clue from the bullentin board in the future. I say dismiss the clue. Test to see if it will change anything or just complete more steps to the future.

It was a much more enjoyable episode this time and did offer a bit more intrigue.
This show, for me, lacks likeable or deliciously evil characters I find them all a bit bland. There's no Sawyer, Locke or Walter Bishop which make's these shows fun. The soap opera of 'Mark' (?) and what's her face (Penny) is rubbish, two supposedly intelligent people can't see they are creating their own break up? Daft.
Dom, in his brief screen time, is the most enjoyable element in this show so far.
The jury is still out...

Yeh, true dat.
Charlie is suppose to be the evil guy isn't it. He doesn't appear to be pulling it off for me.

I thought this week's episode was the best one so far. I'm getting hooked.
Stupid question: Does Penny speak with a Brittish or American accent in real life?? I'm trying to figure out if she's changing her accent for Fastforward or if she changed it for Lost.
Anybody know?

She changed her accent for flashforward, she normally speaks with a British accent.

She's good, I really couldn't pick up any of the Brittish accent. Thanks.

Hopefuly the Yankees are as good at closing out the series as she is in speaking without her accent. lol
