THEORY - mothers and conception and birth - whether they live or die

THIS IS JUST A THEORY - my own thoughts, I didn't google this

Baby conceived on island and baby born on island
Mother dies & Baby dies

Baby conceived off island and baby born on island
Mother lives & Baby lives

We know the above
Sun conceived on island
no one knows if a baby conceived on the island will live if born off the island

My theory (we will know if Sun gets off the island) is the baby and her will live if born off the island

now another idea that raises issues if Claire leaves the island - is she would die if she left the island. where you have the baby is where you have to live so long as it's not where you conceived

yeah, i think everyone has pretty much came to that conclusion - dont forget that rousseau concieved off the island too and gave birth to alex on it and both survived aswell.

and we dont really know if sun really did conceive on the island - its most likely but juliet may have fibbed and remember jin was unable to father a child.

but the island does have healing abilities of some kind as we now so that could well explain that...sun is not aware of them yet as she doesnt know that rose had cancer or that locke was paralyzed so it could explain her funny reaction to jin and the whole my baby thing.

I'm wondering why the hell the women who are pregnant or have been pregnant aren't asking Juliet more questions about it! If I was in any of their situations I'd stick to her like glue until I knew as much as possible!

Yeah but surely she'd know a bit more about fertility than she's letting on? She's definitely clueless as to Ben's actions etc, but she's the one who's in the know about fertility!
