Okay, so we know Charlotte's full name is Charlotte Staples Lewis.
Clive Stapes Lewis is the guy that wrote Chronicles of Narnia.
He is a man that was an athiest until the age of 31 then converted to Christianity. He also wrote a second novel, Perelandra, illustrates a new Garden of Eden, a new Adam and Eve, and a new "serpent figure" to tempt them. The story illustrates a hypothesis of what could have happened if "our Eve" had resisted more firmly the temptation of the serpent. (wikipedia).

Also, during the first theories regarding Quantum physics, C.S. Lewis viewed them as incomplete.

I think we could talk C.S. Lewis for hours here, and surely lots of what he wrote in his books and the religious and philosophical positions that he took may at times pertain to what is going on in the show, but is it worth it? Obviously lots of characters have names that are either direct copies of or allusions to historical figures, but have any of these names meant anything? I can't think of how Mikhail Bakunin's character had anything to do with anarchist philosopher or what Rousseau has to do with the source of her name. I'm not trying to say you're completely off track, but I've always thought that the writers were just being cute in that regard.

Rain, i know what you mean. There's been countless instances of symbolism within the names. I specifically posted this one though because i've been rewatching season 1 and when Locke calls those bodies "our very own Adam and Eve" or something like that. Also, there is the temptations could be Ben or maybe even Jacob.

Maybe you're right, perhaps they just name people that relate to broad ideas the show touches.

I'm thinking that the names are important and are giving us clues to character and motivation on Lost. If the twin theory holds true then maybe Ben does have a twin who does not live on the island . O.T. Ben was the usurper of his brother's birthright. Killing his father would be one way to do that. Is the one who is helping Sayid, the real twin brother of Ben.?IDK but it's fun to speculate. What's that thing about a billion monkeys typing would eventually write a book or whatever?Ha Ha.
