Sorry if this has already been discussed but I can't get this out of my head!
There has been alot of talk that claire dies, jack feels guilty because she's his sister and thats why he doesn't want to see his nephew aaron,blah blah blah, the thing bugging me is Christian Shephard is the only person who knows that Claire is his daughter - When claire met him she said she didn't want to know his name. So how can Jack find out?

no christian is claires father - aarons grandfather.

i am not sure how he would find out. perhaps its mentioned in christians will and he discovers it that way once he is back from the island?

the theory was the "all-knowing, all seeing" ben would tell jack just to mess with jack. ben seems to know everything about the losties.

Ben probably knows...he knows everything else about everyone on the island...I wouldn't be surprised if he told Jack just to be an arse.

Doesn't Claire's aunt know also? Claire knows what he looks like maybe they see him on the island together or something.

As much as Claire's aunt hated Christian I doubt she is going to bring him up by name. The one thing that has been eating at me about Christian is from the end of season 3. Please tell me if I'm misunderstanding the context of this. When Jack is on his suicidal pill popping bender in the flash forward. That Dr. tries to talk to him about it and Jack says, "Get my father down here, if I'm drunker than him you can fire me". Since Christian was supposed to be dead before Jack got lost this comment seems to be completely inappropriate. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

what is going on with Christian Shepard is one of my favorite mysteries, from the start when he was the first person wandering the jungle that shouldn't be there. I really am filled with anticipation to see what happens next with him. Did the island bring him back from the grave? I think so.

I think that Jacob can take the form of dead peoples bodies and special people like walt. That is why people can see and talk to dead people. I think Christian Sheppard is dead. I think that it was Jacob taking Christian's form in the Cabin. I think that he takes the form of Charlie when Hurley see's charlie at the Mental Hospital. I think that Jack sees Christian in the flash forwards and confuses him as being alive. That is why he say's go upstairs and get my dad! I think that everyone is dead that is buried exept the two that got bit by the spiders. Somehow they are probably still alive and they (and the diamonds) are going to play a major role in the storyline.

I really hope Nikki and Paulo do not play a major role. I imagine the diamonds at some point will come into play. I agree though Christian is dead.

I just had a thought. Maybe Miles talks to Nikki and Paolo and they tell him about the diamonds. In return he releases them from their Purgatory. I could see that happening.

We discussed this about 2 weeks ago. I started a thread about it. That's a good theory but one thing. When Jack was arguing with the pharmacy tech about his prescripton running out, the clerk told Jack she couldn't accept a prescription with his father's name or something like that, and Jack said his father was out of town.

So here's the thing. Jack's father was a famous surgeon, like Jack. Surely the pharmacy tech would know his father was dead.

I think that this question was raised for a reason by the writers. Don't know the reason, but it was.....

Here's something to consider. When they did the "recap" show at the beginning of Season 4 a few weeks back, one thing that was mentioned was that the island was a place for "new beginnings". So I wonder if, when the Oceanic 6 actually get off the island, if somehow, because of this black hole time vortex thing going on, if in fact, they somehow undo what was done in the past, or something along those lines.

I dunno...just something I've been considering.

If I remember right, Christian lost his license so I don't even know that he would have an office anymore. How can you have a doctor's office without a license? That seems like a waste of money.

maybe when back in the states for some unknown reason they can match DNA. Maybe blood types. Dont forget on the island people are phsycic and talking and seeing dead people. Who knows maybe Charlie makes another visit to Herley. Or maybe Jack meets up with the physcic Claire meet with. I personally dont think that Jack would not see Arron cause of half sis it is not his character to do so. Even if he had guilt he always come through and does the right thing.

I don't think the diamonds play into the story cuz when they buried nikki and paulo sawyer and hurley scattered them about in the grave. No way is Miles going to sift through all that sand for those diamonds.

I would, in the real world, it would be worth my time, but on the island - have fun.

Christians body was never found. when Jack found his coffin it was empty.

I can totally see Miles digging up those bodies for the the diamonds. They have come into play some where down the line.
