I got off pretty light this year. And luckily, I don't have kids (only a K-9)

I'm normally at almost a grand... I'm less than half of that, this year.

So how much do you spend on the Holidays? :)

Not sure how much exactly. I know I've spent a lot more on myself the past couple of months. Had to spend money for five people, and accidentaly bought more gifts than I meant to probably because I was high at the time, but my brother and I worked it out. And thanks to work ******* up with my direct deposit, they put my $270 paycheck into someone else's account and it's not going to be settled until sunday at least. I probably have maybe $130 total between my savings, checkings, and the money on me.

Just say no, Jeremy!

I never go shopping, so when I do (like holidays) I always find myself going "ooh, this is pretty cool. I'll get one for myself, too." :D

we are having a recession Christmas here. I fall in the satistic of the unemployed. But for the little I spent, I think I did good. Got the kids a cool tent/ play thing with tunnel and stuff.

Same here. Got my daughter a few small items, Star Trek DVD that she really wanted badly, and just some things that normally wouldn't be considered gifts but since I've had to say no to them when she's asked over the past few months I figured now would be a good time. And, I still have her birthday next week.

I did all my shopping via Amazon and Buy.com. And I got my niece a Netflix account. Probably around $400.

My best friend from HS married my aunt (she's only a year older than me) and I haven't seen either of them in 20 years. They're coming over Saturday so I had to finfd something for them. I went to Amazon and downloaded a bunch of old music that we used to listen to back in the 70's and made CD's for them. It was a lot of fun finding all those old treasures.

Merry Christmas to you too, Notso!

It's not quite as busy as I want it to be. Just enough to get by...:)

Well, getting by is better than being behind! This is a postive thing then! I am very familiar with "getting by." lol.

i was good this year, the girls didnt need much and i was able to pick up things on sale over the course of the year. they love their gifts so it just goes to show there is no need to spend silly money on them.

i didnt go overboard with my family either so im gonna take a guess at spending somewhere around £400 for the whole affair.

Looks like we're all pretty much in line with each other.

Desi, we're at 15% unemployment right now, so I feel/see where you're coming from.

In the City, it's almost 50%
