Locke wants to be in charge... .perhaps the island has changed it's mind. That could be why Locke can't find the cabin.

The cabin showed itself to Hurley - so perhaps he is suppose to be in charge now. He seems to have a lot of thoughts he is voicing.

I think the ilsand prefers Hurley maybe because he is so laid back, honest with himself, not into politics or on a power trip, and understands the numbers are somehow important. Where as Ben is possibly schizophrenic and Locke is too much on a mission.

Yep, I've been saying this - I think this is Hurley season! Even the first episode was a Hurley episode!

i agree. hurley is deffinetly one of my favorite characters. he is very street smart or in this case island smart cause he doesnt overthink things he just relies on his instinct. :)

There was a theory a couple years back that Hurley was the one running the show. By that I mean that he is financing the research and the drops and whatever else goes on on the island.

The cabin appears to be able to show itself to who ever it wants when it wants. The question I have is the dust that circles the cabin, it is there for a reason. I stated earlier that it might be a method by Ben or the Others to keep Jacob inside, but it seemed like it moves or just phases in and out at will.

HUrley doesn't want to be a leader. He has shown rare moments of leadership but then immediately shrinks back and lets someone else take over again.

Maybe Jacob saw the flashes of leadership and presented the cabin as a test.

I'd say Hurley failed the test.

I don't think the island wants Hurley to be leader. Jacob saw that Locke has yet lost his way again as pointed out by Ben. "Well John here we are again" Hurley has an honust soule he wouldn't lie to deceave you or hurt you. So Jacob saw fit to show Hurley to Locke that night he saw the cabin. At the same time gave Hurley the right path since he was LOST. With Locke Huley can learn that he has another role on this island besides just being the fat guy in the back so to speak. He is going to show Locke his path again. Because I belive Locke holds the key to this island. But at the same time he is only human and looses his way and faith. SO Jacob shows Locke the way again by the actions of others who alighn them selves with him. The first time Locke lost his way it was Boone that showed him the way again, then Eko,Then Something in the form of Boone, now Hurley.

The cabien didn't show it's self to Locke because he doesn't have the true mission on his mind. He wants to do things his way and find out anwsers by force. When he has forgoten what he has learned. Anwsers on this island arn't given but earned and rewarded by your actions. Decisions and consquances is the name of the game on the island. What's your choice and what is the reaction of your choice?
