could their flashbacks or back stories actually be flash forwards? Would explain the money with miles(3.2 mil), and why Dan was crying about the news of 815 being found

I think they are flashbacks. I think Dan is empathic and that's why he was so emotional. Miles I think they were just showing his greed.

And also with Charlotte, on the island first, fines out about Dharma, then in the future she's in Tunsia or where ever and fines the polar bear....

I think the whole Charlotte thing was a flashback but I also think she knows about dharma somehow. That's why she smiled when she saw the logo.

I thought I read somewhere that all flashes are in the same time period so as not to confuse the fans. Does anyone know if this is show specific or season specific. Makes more sense if it is season specific, because we have not seen any flashbacks of any one pre plane crash.

Definitely not season specific. We saw Jack near the end of his rope last season before we saw him clean and sober (?) this season.

but the ones we saw with Jack and Kate were later on in time though. Jack's a losing it, someone dies, which neither Jack or Kate want to go see. Jack's got his bread and is trying hard to crash with his golden ticket to get back to the island....

right now though they seem to be going in order....

If you remember when Jack visited Hurley he told him he was thinking of growing a beard. When he met Kate he insisted that they have to go back to the island. When he met Hurley he didn't want to have anything to do with going back.

the flashforward time line moves forward within each episode but not within the season.

i would say the timeline for that is hurleys ep, then kates, then jacks (from season 3). not sure where sayids fits in to it all and the other episode is flashbacks to introduce some new characters and give them a bit of background.

ty...i though we were seeing flashbacks for dan, miles, frank, and charlotte to help introduce the characters which means charlotte is tracking dharma for some reason, and her work has led her to the island which also means she's pretty smart.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

1) Hanso Foundation is responsible for Dharma and also owns Oceanic
2) Daniel Faraday and the rest of the "freighties" know the heading to come and go to/from the island. So obviously they are working for someone who knows about all this. The black guy with the devilish name works for Hanso I assume.

They are looking for Ben because Ben killed all the Dharma people and these "frieghties" are from Dharma. Payback? And also to take control of the island back to Hanso Foundation.

I don't think the Hanso foundation owned Oceanic originally. I think they just bought them out recently after flight 815.

i believe that the flash forwards and backs are being mixed and we really won't know the difference between either of the two. I think charlotte's was a forward while the others were backs, or maybe not, there is no way any1 can know.
