What does everyone think. This is just an assumption based on the preview for next week's episode. (3/6) That would explain him not wanting to see Aaron at the end of last weeks episode. He's responsible for her death. He accidentally shoots her. Thoughts??

Maybe, that might explain why Jack wanted to forget the island and all, he is changing though, i liked his character 2 seasons ago. Everything changes, just like the video says. Weird, dudes.

I'll do it if he doesn't - waste of a character - all she does is whine and carry Aaron.

Your theory isn't wrong nor is it right. You know when Jack was talking to Kate when Kate was about to go into the Taxi after her trial in court...Jack refused to see Aaron, he probably didn't want to see Aaron because it reminded him of Claire..... JUST A THEORY!!!! So lets wait until next week. We might get some more answers.

I wasn't looking for a "your wrong/right" i said it was just an assumption.. and I already brought up Jack not wanting to see Aaron.

Obviously something bad happens to Claire, and maybe Jack is not ready to face that he has a nephew, from a person he never knew he was related to. Weirdddd.

YES...I MAY BE RIGHT...i have been posting this for a week on the threads....now looking at the preview i think that he accidentally kills her...(like what happened to shannon)...and then he can't bear to see this little kid who now will never know his real mom....after all Jack is a healer....i also have been saying that he can't know that he and claire are bro and sis in court cuz i am sure that he would then be with kate and raise his nephew...YES

In the preview Jack shoots someone so I agree with you that it might be Claire. If so, then Is that how Kate takes over with Aaron? It would make sense that she became attached to Aaron as his caretaker on the island in a dying request from Claire? Tearjerker!

yeah....i mean she has been admiring claire and aaron's relationship and i think that the pregnancy "scare" with sawyer made her realize that she wants a baby "someday"....

I dont know what happens but i dont think Jack kills Claire. Something tragic happens though there is no way Claire would just hand her baby over to Kate.
But do u guys remember in season 1 when the psychic told Claire to not let anyone but her raise the baby. He said the baby had danger surrounding it and said at least raise it for four months. They have been on the island for like 3 or 4 months. So maybe something happens soon.

I agree. I can't wait for her to bite the big one. Worst character ... except for Charlie, but we don't have to worry about him anymore:D

Jacksnurse, I think you may be right. If Jack accidentally killed Claire then that would make the most sense with everything that has been happening lately with Aaron. Claire would probably not die instantly like Shannon did, so she could probably talk to Kate and she would make her a promise to take care of Aaron. After all, it did seem like Kate really wanted a child.

i just dont see writers having jacks character go south that quick, BUTTTTTTT maybee im wrong, he did pull the trigger thnking he was killing locke! If he was 2 kill claire and LATER find out it was his half/sister it would make him MOREEE crazzy, cause JACK is COO-coo... in his flash fowards lol

I am probably way off base here, but I think that Kate kills Claire. Maybe by accident, maybe not and she becomes "mommy" out of her guilt. And Jack (who I admit I don't like) is having all these emotional issues because he knows the truth.
And remember when Kate got home at the end of "Eggtown" Aaron looked to be almost 3 years old...
So, has she been back for a while or is it going to be a while longer before the survivors get off the island and Aaron gets potty trained by uncle Jack and Aunt Rose?

We all know that Jacks hang up is he always wants to fix things. When Charlie was hung he kept resuscitating him. He wouldn't give up on Boone gave his own blood. He fixed his exwife. I think his obsession to go back is to fix something he left behind. Maybe Claire is not dead just left in the madness of the island maybe prisoner with John Lock? As far as it being to painful to see his nephew not his character he is a hero and strong man. Has to be more to it. 4 seasons of him being a stand up guy cant see them changing him if anything I would think he would think the boy needs him. To help fix him that is be there for him. Just a thought.

I think a decision he makes is what causes her death but as for him shooting her accidentally, I'm gonna go with no. Could be but I'm thinkin' not.

it would make sense and it falls in with the fact that he feels too guilty to see aaron. even if he doesnt directly cause her death, he certainly seems to have had some hand in it - accidentally or not!
and remember when kate is married to nathan fillion for a stint she does a pregnancy test and it comes back negative, she seems gutted! i thought that its because if she was pregnant she would have a good excuse to stay with him but perhaps her maternal instincts have really kicked in!

how can you say it's a waste of a character after what we learned last week.
If anything, she is one of the most significant characters, just because we dont know everything doesnt make her less-significant! She's the only person to have a child on the island, then Aaron goes with Kate. How does any of that make Claire a "waste"???
Claire sticks to herself, tries to be happy, and takes care of the one thing she truely loves. Which, if you haven't noticed, nobody else on the island has.

i think they meant waste of a character as in the actress is not strong enough?

What if she (Claire ) gets off the Island and she can't find her constant and dies. Aaron then goes with Kate. Just a thought.

do you mean they come of the island in the time travel sense? like their consciousness goes but on the island they are all still there and in the catatonic states? interesting - could be why 2 people die aswell.
but wouldnt aaron be her constant?

I think everyone is forgetting desmond's vision of claire on the helicopter. I really don't think jack "accidently" kills her, at least not in next weeks episode. I think the guilt he's feeling is leaving her behind and probrably kate kidnapped aaron so he wont see him cause he doesnt agree with wat she did.

I'm wondering if Aaron is still the harbinger of the apocalypse. *Shrug*

I'm assuming they made it out, it's possible that Michael is Ben's contact. The man that formed the team on the ship seemed to know an aweful lot, he probably would have known Michael made it out and made him go along.
