"The Constant" episode was one of the most suspenseful episodes throughout the series. GO DESMOND!!!! Looks like College professor Daniel experimented on himself, because the journal said, "DESMOND IS YOUR CONSTANT" *BOOM* "LOST"

that was a good one. Looks like Faraday has been traveling too - or *IS* traveling too. Maybe that's why the card test. To see his status of leaping and how is brain is handling it.

Or maybe all the radiation had a cumulative effect on him, which could be why he needed an assistant.

And the fact that he cried when he saw the crash broadcast on TV in his flashback shows that perhaps he knew it would happen or had ties to it.

Definitely one of the series' best episodes!!! The phone call, Mikowski, the open door, etc, all great moments in this show!!

If Faraday was time traveling, he would have known Desmond when Desmond first approached him at the University, no?:(

Desmond went back in time to meet desmond...Faraday did not succeed at his time travel experimentation as of yet.......after the visit....desmond told him the key numbers for the radiation experiment with the rat ........faraday becomes more absent minded from the "bad" effects that he forgets what his constant is....Desmond.....S##T does this make any sense...lol....we are all too fried and its gettin' too late huh?

I agree that the cards are to test the level of damage done to Faraday in his traveling.Given what we know now-makes a lot of sense.Or could it be to see if the island's curative powers are working.Or is that all debunked now?

thats ok krak I keep doin that too, n everyone probably thinks I am nuts (not disputin THAT) but its that I am having a time shift, computer crashed last spring, n then we were not on the net so I am trying to catch up like 9 or ten months of BS n analysis n arguments and I try to refrain but certian threads I just gota throw my 2 cents in
