View Full Version : Sayid is Ben's man on the boat?

So we know from the flash forwards that Sayid is working with Ben in the future. Maybe somehow Sayid is Ben's man on the freighter? A future self?

The Constant episode was by far one of the best episodes since the first season. Desmond is such a great character, the one I feel most attached too. I'm almost upset that his time/space dilemma seems solve. Or is it?

This time travel crap is getting out of hand now.

That's why I love this show. It constantly makes your mind go this way and that and fills you up with alot of what ifs. You can't shake it!  :D

Yeah I realize this theory is probably bunk. Especially since the time travel hasnt been physical. But hell its Lost they could do just about anything and "explain it." But it could explain a few things about the episode. Like how Sayid was able to repair the communications so quickly. Maybe he was the one that sabotaged it in a manner only he could fix although the communications guy said it was not fixed because he went crazy. It could also be a reason the helper on the boat did not want to be seen. Although there are lots of possibilities here the idea just popped in my head when they landed on the boat.

cant say that syied is bens man on the boat cause it would be quite hard 4 syied 2 open the door 4 syied....get it?...how can he be in 2 places at same time?

Just a thought, what about Sam? The guy from find815.com? He is suppose to be on a freighter, could he be Bens guy?

Whoever opened the door is the inside man obviously.
Which wasn't Sayid.

Or at least wasn't the sayid in the room...maybe it was sayid #8 or sayid #23 ;)

Syied could be the man on the boat as the video from Darma showed the #15 Rabbit just appearing and then panic saying dont let the two see each other, Just a thought,

Michael is Ben's spy.

There are no Sayid copies, let's not get carried away.

Amen to that brother. My thoughts exactly. It's Mikey

Was kidding.

Originally I thought it was the guy in the bed that opened the door(from the past). As he was acting creepy and said "Looks like you have a friend". Unfortunately, I couldn't think of any logical way he could possibly be in the past to open the door.

The reason is...from the time the door was shut and locked to the time it was open he was tied down in the bed. Even if he goes back X amount of time in that window...he is still tied down and can't open the door.

Ok... from a conversation with Daniel we know that....

About 5 minutes in 2004 Desmond's world was how long in 1996 Desmond's world? Did he say that Desmond was out like 75 minutes that one time? Is that the same when he went the other way??? When 2004 Desmond went back to 1996 for just a few minutes, did it take a really long time in 2004?

I 'm just putting it out there... do we know how long it took Sayid to fix the radio, really?

I HAVE been wondering what happened to Michael and Walt... They can't just leave that story line unfinished!

micheal being bens spy is wayyyyyyyy 2 obvious, it has got 2 be someone else who will be more suprising , like the capt'n or maybe someone who has yet 2 be revealed, im just worried that LOST is gonna SCREW up everything like HEROES did with this B.S. split season crap!

as far as sayid how "come he fixed the radio so fast?" he has been doing that ever since lost started every little transmitor and radio they have goten he has tinkered with . im sure he had some kind of communications training aside from tourture in his military past

Good point that it couldn't be Sayid because Sayid couldn't have opened that lock door from the inside. Unless he had a key and opened it when the other two weren't looking or were not there (going back in time or whatever)? I don't remember if the door had a keyhole on the inside.

But apart from that...I still strongly believe that the spy is Michael.

I had thought that right away when Ben said he had someone on the boat. I couldnt make the connection at the time so I thought I was crazy. But we never saw the captain so I dont know we will have to see. We do know Sayid will do anything for the girl he loves and he was so calm in the helicopter. A big storm and they can go down and he stays so calm makes you think. Like he knows what to expect.

So I just joined the forum. I've been a lost fanatic since the beginning, but tonight's episode was just too intense that I need to vent about it. When Sayid and Desmond are on the boat and the door is open I immediately thought of Jacob. Since Locke has been trying to find Jacob and he seems to be nowhere wouldn't it make sense that he is on the boat?

Why does the guy who opened the door have to be Bens inside guy. The crazy helicopter pilot said to Sayid I want to help you and Im on your side. I think he is separate from Bens guy. We know that Naomi didnt want him on her team cause he is a little off. Maybe he is trying to help not everyone is bad.

I doubt ben's man is sayid because sayid does not know the backgrounds of the 4 that flew to the island.

micheal makes sense since he would have traveled away from the island, encountered the electrical storm and be in need of a constant - BEN.

Personally I think this whole idea of constants is a bit crazy. I doubt everyone is affected by this.

-Desmond had the exposure to the hatch explosion and was already seeing into the future before he encountered the field.

-Faraday had been being exposed to his experiments for many years before he encountered the field.

-The Radio guy whatever his name is had been exposed to radio equipment for extended periods of time at least leading up to his encounter with the field.

and he said he took a boat out with another guy to try to find the island.

Right, and I don't think the "other" guy had had any previous exposure to electromagnetic radiation and was therefore safe.

Hmm, that's right. I completely forgot.

Well, in that case it's really hard to say. Was anything else said about the guy?

i dunno about that. it seems that the electrical storm is sufficient 'exposure' to need a constant. unless minkowski had previous exposures we don't know about. (i love it when i contradict my own theory in a single post). but the time travel seemed like a new experience for minkowski so i'm going with the storm generates enough radiation to necessitate a constant.

I dont think its sayid cause nobody seemed puzzled to see him there. You think they would've been a little alarmed if there were two of them.

There are a lot of cases that contradict this though. Sayid, helicopter pilot, Desmond before the hatch explosion. All seemed fine.

No that doesnt make sense cause we're under the assumption that Jacob is sort of trapped on the island too. Remember, he cried out "Help Me!" to Locke so i dont believe he's Ben's inside man.

in that case Sayid and the Pilot would be having timeshifts....

not happening....

Hi new to the board.

I dont think it is the case with Sayid and the pilot. I think there is a clear path through the storm which is the coordinates given to the pilot. I think possibly desmonds pre-exposure with the hatch and the visions of the future made it so that he did not need to be as close as the anyone else to be effected. Therefore the pilot and Sayid were safe. The two on the boat who went looking for the island probably had a direct contact with the what ever is causing the shifts

Yeah, and if you think about it the pilot has been through the storm twice. I don't think the storm itself can cause it, there has to be something else.
