The scene where desmond, satiid and the radio man {name forgot} are walking down the hallway towards the radio room he explains that that a freind of his and he both were bored and shut of the "ship's tetner"....what the f*** is a ship's tentnor!!?!?!? How and what did he and his buddy shut down to see the island!?!?!?!?!?!??!?


I don't know until next week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That guy was Minkowski.. I got the impression that him and his friend took out a little boat, trying to get to the island, but then the other guy started to 'go crazy' and they had to go back. I could be wrong though..

I believe it was "tender" which means a small boat.

i thought they said the ships "tender"...a tender boat...a smaller boat carried on the side of the ship to travel between the ship and land, or a port, in case the ship is too large to dock

i could be wrong though

How did they originally know about the island and to go there? Widmore?

You are correct, this is what was said.....and I believe that is what they did, took it out to see the island

There has to be some significance to the coordinates that Ben gave Michael when he left the island and the bearing Daniel told Frank he had to stay on. I think that is the only way on and off the island safely. Also, when Daniel was talking to Desmond on the phone, he asks if Desmond had been exposed to radiation. Most likely Minkowski and his friend had to exposed to radiation somehow.

yeah i took it to be that they went out on a boat to try to get to the island, experienced some problems, came back and started doing their thing!

It'd be interesting if we really could time travel. What effect would that have on our genes, organs, etc. Psychologically and physically are humans going to be able to survive the stress? Our brain is a jelly- like sack that gives off electrical impulses. Can't imagine that time travel wouldn't alter the delicate balance there. Everywhere we go there we are!
