i don't know if there was already a topic for this puprose or not, but could we like compile a list of things we noticed that were altered or stood out for odd reasons to us from the original flight 815 timeline?
some things that stood out to me the most.
hurley was lucky instead of unlucky
jack notices blood on his neck in the lavatory.
john may have gone on the walkabout afterall (they may have worked with helping him to do so, might be to far fetched) or the more obvious he may have lied to boone.
shannon was not on the flight.
plane obviously didn't crash.
island was underwater.
sun might not speak english afterall, or maybe she still does.
jack seems more willing to Believe in Miracles than john.
was claire on the plane or no?
desmond seems to be unaccounted for as well as john's knives and christians' coffin.
fed escorting kate sustained a headwound in almost the same spot as when the briefcase hit him originally.
i'm curious if perhaps lipidus was flying the plane this time.

*Cindy gave Jack one vodka bottle and not 2
*Jack was nervous on the plane while Rose was the calm one, which is opposite from the original flight
*Charlie says he's "supposed to die"
*Shannon, Walt, Michael, Eko, Ana Lucia and Libby aren't on the plane to our knowledge (although some were tailies to maybe we just didn't see them)
*Jack asks for a pen much like he does on the island
*Jack mentions to Des that he knows him from somewhere like he did when they met in the hatch
*Locke does NOT have his scar on the plane

The pilot was definitely the original pilot, not Lapidus, as he stated his name over the intercom when greeting the passengers (can't remember his name though) :)

Sure! That would have been a cool twist though....remember he was supposed to have originally flown it that day. I can't remember why he didn't though.

*Charlie still got his guitar case taken away (this time by the feds) so it'll be up to him to give up drugs to get it back -- a stretch I know
*Sayid was still coming to America for Nadia
*Charlie had his driveshaft ring on

Charlie swallowed the heroin bag instead of putting it down the toilet

The pilot's name is Frank Norris.
Jack was apparently going to do the 'pen thing' as Boone had suggested for Rose in the pilot when he couldn't get the baggie out of Charlie's throat at first. Charlie seemed to cheat death several times in the original time line. He was trying to kill himself this time.
Charlie's hair was short like in Hurley's vision of him. (Of course, we know Dom is in another show where his hair is short and he likes it better that way, but for one scene... that's what hair make up people are for.) The visitor Charlie seemed like he had it together... possibly this time line's Charlie after rehab and a come back?
Shannon was not on the plane, but there wasn't anyone else confirmed as not being there.

Seth Norris was the original pilot. I was a little thrown off by Sawyer being a pal and warning Hurly about predators, the Old Sawyer would have offered him a business proposition.

Well... Sawyer could still catch up with him, or it could also be that Sawyer's decided that after killing that guy he's done. Or.. it could just be Sawyer being a good guy, it's not utterly beyond him.

I'm taking all these minor changes as the butterfly effect. Whatever caused this has surely changed more than the outcome of the flight. Hurly's lucky, Jack has faith, some are or are not on the flight. Let's not forget that, on the new flight 815 past events may have effected Jacob's influence off Island. For example, maybe Sawyer never finished his letter without Jacob's pen.
It would be interesting to see if he would introduce himself as Sawyer or James post flight 815. He may have never kiled that guy in that timeline.
