Mark on Jack's neck

So while Jack is on the plane he goes to bathroom. What is up with his scrap/bruise/whatever he finds on his neck?

Apologies if someone else has covered this in another thread, but any ideas as to why Jack's neck was cut/bleeding?

its in the same place as the graze daniel got from when he was shot last season but it seemed like a small cut on jacks neck and the graze on daniels neck was much larger,it could be a possibility that since daniel died back then and if they did change things then maybe it was jack who was grazed by a bullet since daniel should no longer exist.

At first I thought he was going to remove his shirt and find tons of cuts and bruises, implying that he was just beaten before the bomb went off, but nope just the one small spot.

maybe at the end of the season someone will try to kill him and get close by cutting his neck? I dont know

it seem to me, it was like desmond 'constant' flashes..Desmond always seem to kinda know what was going on.. but it was like fuzzy math at the beginning...for desmond.. He carried over some injury I belive in a flash..

You know what I just noticed? Jack's injury is at the exact same spot as Faraday's, you know, from when he was shot by Phil (or Radzinsky) in Season 5, and the bullet only grazed his neck. It bled very similarly to Jack's neck wound. No idea if this means anything, but I just thought it was interesting.

Yeah I noticed that too right away but for the life of me can't figure out the connection between them or if there is one at all....but glad I'm not the only one that noticed that :p

I've also wondered what the star was doing on Jack's neck. As you all know, EVERYTHING in Lost has a meaning and is a clue. So what does it mean?

I seem to recall Jin wearing a shirt last season with the same star on it. Does anyone think it has something to do with their supposed alternate existence? Like maybe Jack #2 has the "mark". I've tried to research it, but have come up empty. Any thoughts?

I just rewatched that scene. He definitely has what appears to be a 6-sided red star on his neck (like the Star of David), and Jack is looking at it like he doesn't know why it is there. Then he tries to wipe it off. The music is unusual I admit-- almost peaceful. OK, I know that maybe this isn't a huge clue, but it has to mean something? I wonder if everyone on the Angh list has a star?

I have to say what I first thought of when I saw this scene. I thought of Daniel's injury in The Variable. I wondered if there was some sort of freaky correlation between Daniel and Jack, like Jack became Daniel or something. He looked like he didn't even recognize himself when he looked in the mirror and I thought maybe that's why Dezzie struck a nerve with him too. After all, Desmond was Danny's constant, right? Now after having a few days to chew on it, I don't know what the heck to think!

There's definitely a scene in S5 (maybe when Danielle & her team are hanging out w/ Jin (?)) that I just watched like 3 days ago with my girlfriend, who is finally watching for the first time-she mentioned that Jin had a spot of blood on his shirt that distinctly resembled a star (at the time I thought it was coincidentally shaped, but now...)
