I must admit I have never watched a full game of NFL but I do appreciate how much that must mean to the fans, congrats!! I do hope my turn is next in Australias football code - rugby league. When they showed the picture of him and his son on tv Drew had tears in his eyes. So did all 25 people in the room with me. This is one of the greatest things that ever happened to this city. And to all of the fans in the region.

Today is wonderful. I actually couldn't wait to go to work this morning. Just driving around and going to peoples houses you could see that people were truly happy. Everywhere you go people are hugging each other. I stopped at store to get something to drink and spent 20 minutes talking to the cashier and four other customers.

Tomorrow they're having a parade for the team. I'm hoping I can finish in time to get down there.

Our Mardi Gras parades started a couple of weeks ago and half the floats are playing who dat songs and full of people in Saints stuff, too.

Boutte did you make it to the parade?? We wanted to go so bad but our 4 year old and I are getting over the flu. Our 7 year old has it now so there was no way we were going to risk driving 3 hours away with us all sick just so I could get a glimpse of Shockey. LOL!.

No by the time I finished with work it was too late to go. Plus I didn't want to go by myself and be walking around where I would have had to park alone with an expensive camera. You gotta watch it down there.

I ended up watching it on WDSU. They were saying that turnout was more than any MardiGras day in history. I can about imagine what it was like which is another reason we decided to watch it from home. Getting into the area doesn't bother so much as getting out of it.
