Bram's ash ring

Didnt see this anywhere yet, but anyone have any thoughts as to what was the light that flashed real quick as Smokie approached Bram when he was standing in his ash ring?
There was a little green light shining down on Bram as smokie came up to him. Whats up with that? Besides maybe just a symbol that he was protected

Smokie has always "flashed", and there were plenty of flashes when he entered the foot hut. I think that's all this was.
