I posted this before and it just got moved to a super long thread and of course over looked. Maybe here some ppm will see it and be able to give me some feedback.

So lets not assume that jughead "sank" the island in the reality where Oceanic 815 does not crash on the island in 2004. Honestly, even a nuke, sinking an island of that size, sinking? crater maybe, im not convinced. Anyway, say that the wheel is related to the islands position. Ben turns the wheel and the island goes down. Locke turns the wheel and the island comes back up. Perhaps the individuals that remain on the island when it is moved flash as a result of being "underwater". Then, after Locke turns the wheel, they stop flashing, they are no longer "underwater". So in the 2004 no Oceanic 815 crash reality, the island is currently down, so someone has turned the wheel, and people are flashing! Who is flashing and to where? Is it possible someone has the island down and can control the "flashes? Who will turn the wheel and stop them? Could this explain other people time traveling? Think I'm onto anything here? The Others and "not flashing" is still a mystery though.

Not sure what flashing and being underwater means or has to do with each other. Can you elaborate?

I kind of get what you mean Woogster, like there has to be a rule about who flashes when, and it wouldn't appear underwater if you were in those flashes at the time.
especially when John flashed away from the others, didn't even get time to get used to being a leader for long and wap he is jumping from decade to decade, i don't know who would be flashing now
when the ajia plane came in and Kate, Jack, Hurley and Sayid flashed and the rest stayed on the plane, there is a reason that happened, and maybe the thing is to find out what was more the same about them to flash them while leaving the rest in the time they ended up in ( some present)
