is it just me or did the chains comment from the MIB make you think that Richard came on the black rock, since that would be the only reason i can think of that he would be in chains.

I don't know that it means that he was in chains on the Black Rock, I assumed his reference to it was that he was part of the crew, or possibly the captain. Flocke was no doubt referring to the chains of living in Jacob's shadow, with the unfulfilled promise of what it was all about.

hello Joed.
I've been so wrapped up in BEN that I missed this thread.
I do think Richard was in chains on the BL but I also think he has been around centuries previous to this.

...was from the Black Rock last year. I also predicted that the navigation wheel from the black rock is the same that Ben and Locke turned in the cavern. Finally I beleive the loop began with the arrival of the Black Rock.
Question: Does anyone know the name of that company that Ben was testing Alex on. Was it the same as the company previous to the Hanso foundation that then owned the Black Rock?

He said he was touched by Jacob - a sign of a candidate.

Did I mention ruthless (makes me think Blackwater, the evils of mankind, etc.--not a coincidence that Widmore is the President of a big corporation) I always thought there may be a connection between the EITC and the Black Rock, (maybe there isn't, we don't know yet). But a nice job by the producers/writers.
