Could the numbers be some sort of lottery? I mean they've already worked a lottery into the story with Hugo.

What was the 'powerball' on Hurley's ticket, and who did
Jacob adding that number to?

I mentioned this earlier in another blog, but Jack Shepherd was given the number 23 and his seat on the plane was 23B. Coincidence or were they all sitting in their corresponding number?

Didn't realize that was his seat number. I just figured it was a reference to the Shepherd's Psalm (Psalm 23 in the Bible). Interesting.

But there were other names on that ceiling with numbers - and not all them came to the island by plane...like Godspeed, right?
