Danielle's Notes and Maps

I saw this picture and just cant help but wonder if Danielle already knew somthing.

Its her writing of the numbers with two lines going below two of them and one with a arrow pointing down. These number are 8 and 15 or Hurley and Sawyer. I know Bens bunny was 8 and I want to say that the rabbit in Changs Lab was 15.

But really is it not strange that these two numbers got her attention. I think Danielle knew way more than she carried own.

I don't know if Danielle knew much of anything that was going on but I do think it's interesting to look back at the numbers and how they have popped up in the past, especially now that we can attach them to specific Losties!

Yeah but I think we miss a big picture. Danielle was part of a science team just as Faraday was. We got so into her being a savage that its easy to play off who she really was. If you look at her maps and notes she has great detail to them complete island layouts with elevation and locations marked out. She even covers tide, wind patterns and places to get food. She also gave birth to Alex one of only a few children borned on the Island.

Also looking at here maps there is one and when it is placed over a second it make a triangle with degrees.

Not to mention that Lacombe a member of her teams name was on the Cave Wall.

I agree that Danielle was an intelligent woman and obviously had "street smarts" as well! Her name is on the wall too so that leads me to think she was another person who was brought to the island, not that she has any bigger role.

She certainly was one hell of a survivor though!

It could be her name but it could have been Alex Rousseau, I think Jacob is using just last names to confuse.

But I was really pointing out that Rousseau picked those two numbers because when it comes down to it the two numbers are going to go good verse evil. Jacob vs MIB, Flocke is recruiting and Sawyer is his general and Jacob is using Hurley to lead.

But it could be one of those things when we finish up with Lost and the producers are like yeah we put 8 and 15 on the rabbits and had Rousseau draw under the numbers. This just to say we told you we knew where we were going. 8 and 15 all the way.

I think with the element of time travel, it's possible that any of them may know more about the story. I thought you were suggesting that Danielle had ties with the Others or the DI or something of that sort. That's a great point, Buc! :)

Its all about two numbers it always has been but we saw them as 3. 815 is actually 8 and 15 together. Two very unlikely canidates but these will two will the new Jacob and MIB. Hurley and Sawyer do not hate each other by anymeans yet but the two of them had many heated ping pong games which Hurley always won. From the flash sideways it looked as though Sawyer was going to rip off Hugo and who knows what impact that would have.

Now one more thought on Danielle I find it very interesting that her maps were in Ben's office on Hydra Island. Why, When and How did they come to be there?

And why is Claire acting out Rousseau's Life? I got a few thoughts on it but I need some help. To me to get it started it is very similar 316 having to be as close to 815 as possible. Its like the island needs to be reset back before 815 landed.

It occured to me that maybe the Russuo on the wall was Robert. Danielle was married and her husband was there on the Island. And if I'm correct, before she shot him he was talking about protecting the Island.

But I can be wrong.

Danielle found the radio tower playing the numbers over and over again and changed it to her own voice asking for help. this could be how she knows the numbers

Now one more thought on Danielle I find it very interesting that her maps were in Ben's office on Hydra Island. Why, When and How did they come to be there?

And why is Claire acting out Rousseau's Life? I got a few thoughts on it but I need some help. To me to get it started it is very similar 316 having to be as close to 815 as possible. Its like the island needs to be reset back before 815 landed.

I will apologize in advance, but I don think there is any hidden meaning here in rousseau's notes.

Ben stole her damn baby for crying out loud, I'm sure a few pieces of paper wouldnt be hard for him to take as well. Danielle was on the island by herself for 16 years! I think she had some free time to make some detailed maps. this doesnt make her special, she didnt have anything better to do.

I also dont think that claire is acting out Rousseaus life. I think that danielle went a little nuts after seeing a pillar of smoke attacking her friends and baby daddy. I think i would go a little batty if i witnessed that too. Now hopefully tonight, we gain some insight to what has happened to claire in the past three years, but as Dogen stated, she has the darkness and I'm sure by now it has taken her over. So what ever that is, it may be something similar to Danielle, but I think Claire is out in the jungle with gun just because she is just in survival mode, not doing a rousseau impression.

One last note....Unfortunately, I do not think that the numbers written in jacobs cave will be too much more or have a concrete connection with things we have seen in the past. I think that TPTB have given us this as some sort of "explination" of the numbers, but I do not think we will get anymore to go off of. Once all is said and done, we could go back to certain points in the story where certain numbers were used and we will be able to draw some sort of connection with a certain character no matter what. But it will all be speculation, nothing concrete. The story is too big and too interconnected to not be able to link the numbers with anybody. Its sad to me, but again unfortunately I think this is all we will get as to why the numbers are special.

I don't know that it's a quick assumption. Pretty obvious the writers are leading viewers in that direction because Kate made references to the traps being Rousseau's before she was corrected by the (br)other.

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but do you think it is possible that the names on Jacob's wall that have been marked out are not necessarily marked out because they are dead or "compromised", but maybe they are the people who were "sacrificed". Either for the island, for Jacob, or for MIB. It could be a possibility. They just weren't "right" either way...i guess.

It might not have been HER name on the wall, but her husband, who also was on the island.
