Desmond's Time Travel

I am a new blogger to this site but I often read the posts. My theory is that as usual the only ones who are LOST are the viewers. But last night's episode did start to time up some loose ends. For ex. it may have given the explanation to why Desmond was able to "see" the future after the hatch exploded. At that time he was exposed to a high amount of electromagnetism. Then going through the storm cloud on last night's episode again exposed him to high amounts of electromagnetism, therefore he started to time travel in his mind, but he kept going the a date in the past. What if the same thing happened to him when the hatch blew up but he would time travel to the immediate future and could see what was going to happen that would explain a lot ( he did not just suddenly become a psychic) but rather had experienced a brief period of time travel. Also did anyone notice that when Desmond found Penny's father at the auction he was bidding for a secret journal from someone named Hanso. Very interesting, I think he has something to do with island or trying to discover it's properties or maybe Ben works for him since he is very wealthy. Any thoughts?

Yes, Penny's father was bidding on the ledger/journal from The Black Rock. The Black Rock's captain was thought to be Magnus Hanso, who is the great-grandfather of Alvar Hanso, who ran the Hanso Foundation, which ran Dharma.

Ben killed all of Dharma. He does not work for Hanso.
