The future Jack is the one that wakes up in the bamboo forest and knows where to go, but then maybe goes back and maybe Hurley is his constant so that is why he went to visit him in the mental insitution (future Jack from the island) to get his constant on the island? the way that Desmond went back to find Penny for his future self.
