Frank's dashboard map says go 40 miles north at bearing of 305, then take a hard right and go 7K east. The problem is that 7K could either mean 7 kilometers or 7,000 feet/yards/meters. Anyway, if Ben sent Michael off on a strict bearing of 325, would they end up at the same point? I think that's a big MAYBE.
Where's Navyguy when you need him?

I'm not sure about that.. I don't want to say you're wrong, because I don't really know.. but, since they were leaving from different points on the island, wouldn't the bearings be different? If I was walking downtown from my house, and my friend was walking downtown from her house a few blocks away from mine, we'd be following different bearings to end up at the same place.. because we're getting to the same destination, but our starting points are different.

i asked my OH this last night as he is the maths type and he seesm to think if they left at diff points there is chance the bearings would be different as they are approaching from diff angles.

If you follow Dan's route TO THE FOOT, and the 7k refers to 7000 feet, going 325 would put you precisely on course.
