Came across this today, makes you wonder about some of the factual biased things going on in the show and how we dismiss the actual reality of it all.

P.S. Shhhhh... ...I think it's the island's magnetism. :D

wow that's really interesting (what I could understand of it!) It will be interesting to see what comes of it. After all the things that didn't make sense and trying to grasp the concept of what the pioneer anomaly is, I found this quote a breath of fresh air, “If I were a betting man, which I am not, I would bet a whole case of cranberry juice that the Pioneer Anomaly will have an ordinary explanation that is within known physics,” said Irwin Shapiro, an astrophysicist at Harvard University unaffiliated with the Pioneer Anomaly research team, during the debate.

He'd bet a case of cranberry juice? nice. Gotta love those astrophysicists! Great find, ritualimage!

I wonder if the astronauts on the space station age slower? LOL

Thanks.. that article was pretty cool.. My favorite thing about this show is that I think it's realisitic.. it's just twisted reality, if that makes any sense.. I feel like this stuff COULD happen if only this one (whatever, unknown) thing was true.

The other day my physics professor was saying that if his finger was entirely made up of protons, he could push it through the desk.. his explanation was longer, and obviously it would be impossible (at least with all the knowledge we have to date) for something to entirely be made up of protons, but still.. I thought it was really cool.. Every day in class I think about Lost haha.. it's pretty fun..

How many people here have had dejavu? You know when you think this has happened before but it can't be real!

Yes, actually. It's called Time Dilation.

In 1971, Hafele and Keating, flew cesium atomic clocks east and west around the Earth in commercial airliners, to compare the elapsed time against that of a clock that remained at the US Naval Observatory in Washington, DC.

Two opposite effects came into play. The clocks were expected to age more quickly (show a larger elapsed time) than the reference clock, since they were in a higher (weaker) gravitational potential for most of the trip. But also, contrastingly, the moving clocks were expected to age more slowly because of the speed of their travel. The gravitational effect was the larger, and the clocks suffered a net gain in elapsed time. To within experimental error, the net gain was consistent with the difference between the predicted gravitational gain and the predicted velocity time loss.

Again, in 2005, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in the United Kingdom reported their limited replication of this experiment. The NPL experiment differed from the original in that the cesium clocks were sent on a shorter trip (London–Washington D.C. return), but the clocks were more accurate. The reported results are within 4% of the predictions of relativity.

Time dilation would make it possible for passengers in a fast-moving vehicle to travel further into the future while aging very little, in that their great speed retards the rate of passage of on-board time.

Pretty deep stuff, but there is the answer to your question!;)

Over the last two weeks I've been getting it here and there actually, and got a bit freaked from it! Maybe it's cos I watch too much Lost!

Have had deja vu but not for a while. It is a strange and perplexing feeling as you try to remember where it was this experience took place. The world is so full of a number of things, I think we should all be as happy as kings! 1Robt. Lewis Stevenson, I think.

I'm soo confused about all this mental time travel, I can't get my head fully round it at all!
