Hey is there any way to make it so that I don't timeout when I log in? I looked and didn't find one.... it's kind of annoying cause I like to just stay logged in while I do things and then come back and refresh my pages.

I don't think there's a way for this. The best compromise I found is to go to the "Who's online" page while you're away. For some reason, the forum doesn't log you out automatically when you're on the "who's online". Sometimes it does log you out, but that's very rare.

my screen has, just near the login boxes, a little box says "remember me"

Hmmmm...maybe that will solve Jung's problem. I'm not sure I understand what the real issue is to be honest. :o
I think what Jung is talking about is when you come to the forum and don't refresh your page in 15 minutes, it times out and you're no longer online here at the forum. As far as I know, the only disadvantage is that the forums are all marked as being read whn you finally refresh your page but maybe he's saying that he has to log back in every time? I'm not sure. If that's the case, I bet marking the "Remember me" button will help for sure. Good call!
Jelena has a great idea too. When you go to Who's Online, it automatically refreshes the page every 30 seconds or so. That might help too.

If you click on "Log Out", you'll see the boxes for your screen name and password. Next to it there is a "Remember me" button. That way you don't have to sign back in every time you come to the forum. You're just automatically at your home page. It will still time out if you don't refresh your page after 15 minutes and it will still log you out 15 minutes after you leave. That's the way I understand it anyway.

that's right but be careful if you access the forum from another computer.if you are not logged out at home you may not be able to log in from somewhere else, i think lol

Actually, it still lets you log in. I may have tested this at work more than once. :D

That's ok. This is not a problem that bothers me, as I've found my solution.

Actually, I've always wondered about that, Jelena! I thought you were just a nosey buggar but it makes perfect sense now. I'm actually happy to know why. LOL! :D

Thanks guys. Yeah I was just wondering if there was an option to lengthen the time before the timeout. I guess remember me will work, I just didn't want one of my turd friends to use my computer and go and post a bunch of stuff under my name, but I'm way less worried about this forum as I'm the only one of my friends enough of a lost nerd to even know it exists.

Note to self: If Jung's posts suddenly seem nonsensical and turdy, it's one of his turdy friends, not Jung.
Got it, Jung! No sweat, buddy!! :)
I can't find a place on the forum to ask this, so...
Lissa, do you know what's up with the time display? I've selected my correct timezone and when I post the times are showing up 5 hours behind my current time.
LOST time traveling feature? ;)

the short answer Gary is some people find the corresponding time zone, 5 hours ahead of where you are and use that one. hope this helps
^^
Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I figured that would be the thing to do... although I imagine that it's probably just a matter of the clock of the server hosting the LOST forums to be reset properly. Probably not going to happen... :P
