So I read in a recent podcast that Libby is in fact going to be back on the show. Now I'm not sure if she's going to be only seen by Hurley like some of the other people he sees or what, but I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Libby. Theories are going around that she has some connection to Dharma.

I'm glad Libby is coming back, I don't know about you all but the 'Libby Hurley' storyline was one of my favorites!! I was devastated for Hurley when they killed her off :(

I was too! Not many good things have happened to our Hurley in his life. I think, though, as everything unfolds, that we are going to see that almost everyone on the island has a connection to Dharma. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already know that Des, Jin and Sun have some connection?

I'm not sure Des has a connection, I think he was just caught up in it when he crashed on the island during his trip around the world, but I could be wrong. I do know that Sun's father has been investing money into the Dharma company and I think someone else is linked to them as well. The writer's have said that anyone who dies is in fact dead so that rules out Libby actually coming back since we saw her buried, but maybe she'll come back as on of Hurley's manifestations?? OR if she was already linked to Dharma, maybe she was reproduced (cloned) to do the time warp thing like the rabbits did in the orientation video. That could make sense since Libby ends up in a mental institution...or I could just be going completely off base :) Should be interesting!!

but we never actually saw her die?......as a matter of fact she was alive when we all saw her getting buried.........yet another weird twist.......

No that was the other girl on the island who had stolen the diamonds with her boyfriend. Those 2 were buried alive, but Libby was shot by Michael and they had a funeral for her. I'm pretty sure she really did die, but with this show haha you never know :)

that's right...I'm sorry I'm getting my dead people mixed up, lol................I think I'm going to go back and watch some seasons to get my entire memory refreshed.....there's so much to keep up with on this show.

I know! I keep remembering little things and it makes me want restart from the beginning. I thought the hour recap was REAL good and informative, I was shocked they were able to get 3 years into 1 hour and pretty much cover everything important. My dad has never watched the show and was able to watch the recap and this season's 1st episode...he's hooked now and caught up! Craziness :)

yeah this girl I'm talking to seems interested in the program now, and she had never seen a episode until the recap the other night.....by the end of the hour she knew different characters names and everything, haha............

I'm starting from the beginning of season 1 as we speak.....

Yah the writer's have already said that she will be back this season, we just don't know how yet.

maybe they will bring her back in a flashback for hurley. Remember they were both in the mental institute, and also she was the one who sold desmond his boat, so she could be a flashback character...kind of like charlie was in the season premiere (excpet flash forward). I think the writers want to make Hurley a much more dynamic character this season. he has always been the comic relief and just happy-go-lucky guy. I think we are goin to find out a lot about Hurley in this season, and perhaps the rest of the story behind the connection between libby and him in the mental house.

Yes, i heard somewhere that she will be back as far as her storyline. Maybe she will actually appear on the island, but her story is going to be touched on (possibly in someon'e flashback) in season 4.

we defo saw her die (or appear to die) as she tried to splutter out 'michael' to jack.

my partner and i were getting a tad bickery about this today as i said they will have to go back and do more about the libby storylines as they were too high profile and too many folks would be annoyed if answers were not given (me included) but he thinks they will just hash up some quick solution.

Des' connection is through Penny to Widmore Construction. I know it a degree of separation, but Mr. Widmore sure didn't like Des.

You know I was just watching season 2 and I was complainin to my girlfriend that theres a couple things in that season that I didnt think were ever ganna be solved. Libby was one of them, now I hear there ganna bring her back in some way. I wanna know y she was in the mental instatution? I never herd the rumor that she was connected to Dharma, that would be crazy. And the airplane droppin a huge pallet of Dharma food, where did that come from is Dharma still bringin food to the island? I thought they would know that all the Dharma people are dead. Thats another question I want solved this season.

Well if Hurley is seeing Charlie's ghost why not Libby too! He was close to both on island maybe that's the way the island is going to get Hurley to break his silence and go back.The island seems to know what buttons to push to manipulate people.

Yah Libby is apparently connected to Dharma in some way and it will be interesting when they show more of her flashbacks (if they do) because remember the boat that ended up crashing on the island that Desmond was on was the boat that Libby gave let him use (Elizabeth which was named after her). Soo did it land on accident or not?? Maybe Libby had something to do with it? She'll probably be back in a Hurley manifestation like Walt and the others have come. Ahh Thursday can't come soon enough! :)
