The calendar on the ship

When Des looks at the calendar, did anybody notice that October 20 thru October 23 are not X'd off? Anyone have any idea why? :confused:

i remember noticing that some boxes did not have the X in them. woder why - a gonna find a timeline to see if those dates coincide with any significant events.

no one was there to X them out. suppose the Xs represent the time that minkowski was on the boat working in the radio room.

Thanks for the timeline Bunny. Nothing really eventful appears to have happened those days except for the strange high tide on the 21st. But even if they were very busy, or had an emergency, seems like someone would fill in the blank spaces later.

I'm also wondering when they set sail from Tahiti. I kind of got the impression from Keamy and Omar's exchange that they didn't know exactly where they were. But on the other hand, maybe they didn't want to tell Desmond too much.

Yeah, I guess it could represent days on duty rather than days passed by.

OR ... it could represent days they heard something on the radio. Or days they saw thunderstorms, or days Minkowski went time trippin'. I guess it could represent a lot of things.

good one. red, blue, yellow, and black Xs. dec 24th isn't Xed out. is that because minkowski was tied up? it was his radio room. i'm guessing he was the one Xing out the calendar. so why use 4 colors?

Wow, how cool is that. I couldn't make out the different colors on my VCR tape, it just looked like different shades of black. Now we have a whole new puzzle to work on!!

October = 7 blue Xs, 4 yellow, and 20 black
November = 7 red, 23 black
December = 7 red, 16 black

is that how you see it? 4, 23, 16 are numbers but the others a random.

Did you ever forget to mark off like two weeks on your calendar? And then mark them off all at once? It looks stupid. Maybe they just didn't want it to look like someone stood there and marked off three months all at once. My work calendar looks similar, I use whatever is on my desk to mark off the days.

Haha, I just didn't want people to bark at me for giving a perfectly reasonable explanation for the different colors. I love to come up with theories too, but man... colors on a calendar really just... was too much! :D
