Dan said that if Frank didn't follow the bearing there may be side effects.

As far as I could tell, Frank stayd right on the bearing and there were still side effects.

Or am I wrong?

No I think that you ARE Right But....sayid and Frank are fine....only Desmond started pulling a "patchy" with his mental time travel and bloody nose....this I think is because he was exposed to tremendous amt of EM/RAD when he turned that key and blew that hatch up...(remember he started his time travel rite at that moment).....i think that anyone with heavy exposure....like des and daniel....will suffer bad se's if they Leave the island:)

So a regular person may have side effects if they went off course but a person exposed to radiation or EM would have side effects regardless.

Unless teh side effects for a regular person would be different, I guess this is case closed.
