When Desmond shows up at the auction, for someone who hates desmond so much it sure is very easy to get her address. And whats with Mr. Widmore leaving the water on? That was weird.

I thought the same thing... but maybe Des hasn't really pissed him off yet. He also must be happy that his daughter hates Des at that moment, so giving him her address so she can slap him around would be fun I guess.

I think leaving the water on was to show how much of a pompous ass he is. He used a clean towel to turn ON the faucet. Then didn't turn it off. Like, I'm too good to touch the handle.

maybe he knows a little of what is going on and he is using his daughter and des to figure out where the island is in order to possess its powers.....or somethin' like that..lol...i mean on the phone penny mentions to des that she knows about the island (yeah....ok charlie mentioned it in the looking glass)....and about research...then the crackling on the line start and we miss some of it

I don't think this is right, but maybe the water and the pen light of the doctor are supposed to be stimuli to trigger teh effect?

how did des even know mr. widmore was at the auction? widmore is a pompus ahole, and i definitely think he has the money and resources to be behind this whole deal.

i too wondered about the running water being a trigger since some but not all of des' previous displacements occured in the rain including the helicopter trip, but too many other displacements occured indoors. i doubt the rain/water means anything.
