Hey everyone. New to these forums. There is some great information here, and I thought I might add something I noticed that I didn't see mentioned here.
I believe that the helicopter did go off course. Also, the gauges are all at zero except the gauge with the degrees. If you watch as they show the note with the headings on it, they pan up to the heading gauge, the rpm gauge and the pressure gauge are at zero, and the heading gauge is on the small line between 30 and 31, which is 305. As they enter the storm, just before the pilot says "Hold on", they show the gauge again and it looks like it is at 310. Right then, Desmond jumps. Not sure why the other 2 weren't affected as well, maybe the hatch explosion Desmond was in has something to do with it.
