Ben Linus and the radiation vest

Okay I was looking at screencaps and I saw the picture that miles shows Jack and Kate at the beginning of the season when miles says I am looking for this man and Ben is wearing a radiation vest in the picture. In this last episode Daniel wears a vest because of all the radiation he's exposed to in his experiments. Ben and Daniel Faraday must have worked together.

possibly but not necessarily....i actually don't think so....i just think that they both are time traveling and know the side effects .....Ben seems to have it together mentally unlike Daniel who has memory loss......who is Ben's constant????

Its a freakin suit vest!! Are you kidding me? Have you ever worn a three piece suit?? Have you seen radiation vests?! They're bulky, heavy and THICK.

I am a doctor who was previously an x-ray tech. Lead vests can be made very thin and light and I also see what I think is the tip of a radiation badge on his chest. The vest opens in the back. Suit vests don't usually open in the back do they?

For better or worse, I've worn equally ugly striped shirts with equally ugly vests from 3-piece suits in the late 70's and early 80's.

And, that was also the time that many companies began making employees wear identity badges at work.

I would be willing to bet that Ben was not wearing a lead apron in the picture.;)

it is unplugged and i believe in the past besides the cloths no company now days would buy computer monitors like that they make them much smaller now

It's two different people, one behind the other. They are both facing towards the left of the photo.

If Ben IS wearing a radiation vest then why isn't he wearing a radiation hat and matching gloves? They were very fashionable in the 70's and I hear they're coming back! Diane Von Roentgenberg's design, I think.

that is definitely just a suit vest, i don't think you can get tailored radiation vests quite yet... and the black thing that people think is a badge is probably just the edge of the desk in the background because we can see the left side of his chest so a nametag or other badge would be visible because no one wears things like that over the buttons on the middle of a vest....

and i think the computer being unplugged is most likely just a set design error/omission

Haha sorry not to be a jerk but this thread made me laugh :D I thought it was really funny to see Ben in late 80's attire when I saw this picture. It's evident that it was taken long ago due to his hair style and that cheesy outfit he has on. To the person who said he was a Doctor on the first page: I'm not sure what country you've used lead vests in, but under what circumstances would you use one that provides such little protection as that one? It's clearly tailored in the manner of a suit vest, and we can pretty clearly see that the left side of his chest/breast is very exposed, not to mention what looks like the top 3 or 4 buttons on his shirt.
