Disecting Rousseau

If Minkowski truly had the sickness and Desmond found his constant in Penny why has'nt Rousseau died yet of the sickness? Is she secretly taking the shots that Kelvin and Desmond were taking? After looking at what happend to Minkowski why would you feel the need to kill your whole team if they are gonna die anyway? Somehow I think Rousseau is not who she says she really is. 16 years on the island and your feeling no effects? Something's not right. I think that she's Ben's ultimate covert. What do you guys think?

This show gives everyone just enough craziness that you almost feel as if you could come to believe anything about anybody. I've seen more "normal" people on Forensic Files commit the most dastardly crimes and your mind says OMG how could they do that?Remember the awful serial killer who posed as a clown in a children's hospital all the while doing heinous murders? I keep wanting my Lost characters to rise above it all and show that they are the good guys, not superficial murderous clowns! BTW, Rouseeau seems more like a tragic figure than a deceitful one.I hope she doesn't own any clown costumes.

It does seem odd that she saw no one for 16 years. Like she had all these countless traps set up and no one ever got caught until the all-powerful Ben got caught and then she made sure to deliver him to them?

I will add this.Rousseau may have known that Ben had her daughter? Would she want to kill the man Alex thought was her father? So maybe she handed him over to someone who might kill him and had already been stung by the others. Or, thru some promise of I"ve got your daughter do this if you want to see her, Ben was able to blackmail her into staging the whole scene including the arrow shot?

Good theory. She had to wait a while for the payoff, but she did eventually get to see Alex.

Surely Ben would know she was "Emotionally invested" in Alex and use it to his advantage like always.

I think Rousseau would prefer this plan to simply going with Ben to the Others camp. That would be too risky for her. She manages risk well if not conservatively.

i dunno about rosseau knowing that ben had alex cuz she seems shocked when one of the losties mentions to her in s3 that there is a girl around 16 with ben and the others....after that she is dead set on finding her.....she seems shocked....im sure on that one
