Damon did a podcast with the ODI. I will post it in minor spoiler section. But, this is what he said about spoilers for the finale. I thought i would post so that you who read spoilers - YES,I AM TALKING TO YOU - can re-think from this perspective.

But, no pressure. free will. Well, free will as long as you do not let that strange blond man standing behind you touch you. ;)

DL: "All I will say, especially to people who gravitate towards spoilers: You might really really really be tempted to feel you deserve to know what the ending of the show is, before you watch it on May 23rd. And the reason that you're probably feeling that way is because you don't trust us. Because you feel like, "I need to protect myself in case I'm disappointed".

But I will say that YOU, have an opportunity that no one else is gonna have after May 23rd, once DVDs come out, and it's out there and all. Which is to honestly and actually be part of the final episode of the show as it's broadcast in many places around the world simultaneously, so you probably will be watching the show at relatively the same time as another 20 million people.

And I ask you as a favor to the show, not because you owe it, please, don't spoil yourself. Let yourself experience the ending of the show without knowing what's going to happen, please."

Yeh, hes right I don't trust him. Too much unknown information, very little time left suggests to me, he is going to use a very crappy, "WELL USED" "story telling" device to finish it all off.

you don't know that 3d, quit being such a curmudgeon (now I know that is not right, but I have no squiggly red line???):)

I want to trust them, but right now I'm HOPING that the finale will be great, not TRUSTING that it will be :(/:)

Oh it will be great thats for sure.
The part that bothers me is I'm coming quickly to the realization the show is almost over. Also, I'm coming quickly to the realization that the show is still complex enough they could have done a 6th year without a blink of an eye. The Richardo episode could have been two episodes no problem.

Don't even know why this needs to be said. And it doesn't matter who says it, either. But, okay...

i think it needs to be said, and said by TPTB, because they have worked for a lot of years to make this very big finale mean something- surprise wise- and all of their big reveals have been spoiled except maybe the incident. they are rightfully concerned. So, damon did a podcast with the guy who runs a fairly prominent spoiler cite to get his point across.

nothing more than that

I think it's awesome that Damon went 'right to the source' so to speak...

Right on, good for TPTB.

I'm a spoiler-free zone.
I hate spoilers, but not nearly as much as I hate this show is coming to end in a couple months.

I don't think it could have been said much better than that.

The trouble we have is the history of many interesting TV series ending with a disappointing final episode. It's easy to think of only that... and yet, we have a TV series that is unlike any other (for complexity of back story) for some time. Little by little, we have been getting answers. We have to remember that and trust that we'll get more answers as time goes on, with a decent ending. Can we be patient? Or are we going to be sugar loaded kids with ADD? ;)

For a while, when there was really so much ambiguity, I was kind of hooked on the conversations, delving into all the possibilities. But now, I've grown a bit tired of them. Hasn't anybody else? I mean, how much speculation can you do? I also think over speculation pumps up a higher expectation, ultimately creating a shortchanged feeling at the end. I don't think we can expect to be "blown away" by the ending. All we can hope for is that we see some interesting story elements get wrapped up pretty nicely. There is definitely going to be a lot of ambiguity left behind. Believe me, the producers don't have the time or energy to answer every little obscure detail, like about the flipped over knife in John Locke's case or the slightly different versions observed of the Egyptian statue foot.

But we're going to see people get all "LOST guru" like and nitpick every little friggin' detail to death, even more than what we've been seeing so far. THOSE people are going to be disappointed with the ending. They want much more than can be delivered. And, quite probably, a few of them will seek out their own answers by creating them... in their own LOST stories. ;)

That's the problem. We've come up with these incredibly intricate explanations for things that you couldn't possibly explain on a television show.

I don't mind a bit of ambiguity at the end, in fact I'd prefer to figure out some things myself (with you guys obviously) than have a two part finale, part 1: everyone sits round the camp fire and explains ****, part 2: everyone fights, and all differences are resolved.

There's only a few mysteries left to me that I really care about, the rest I can either make an educated guess which is probably true, or I can "understand" them to a certain extent by using the island's mythology and logic to see round corners instead of being blinding by what I believe to be true in the RL.

Biggest mysteries for me, in order.

- Is there a timer being reset over and over again, with Jacob constantly trying to make things work out the exact way he wants it to? This would tie in with his statement "it only ends once" because he has a vision to end it once he's satisfied with how it plays out and also MiB's statement "it always ends the same" because from his perspective, it does.
- WHH or TCC?
- Exact nature of Jacob vs. MiB.
- Relation between the two realites.
- Who owns the tennis shoes.
- Why Jack landed in the jungle, far from everyone else.

i personally do not think that they will answer this. this is one of those things that can be, and has been debated eternally.

the tennis shoes? those are christian's. Jack explains it to kate in season five, "316" i think.

Must have missed that one.

I didn't think the TCC vs WHH thing will be resolved, but I would like it to lean towards one or the other. Someone suggested that there will be evidence given for both, but never a definite "answer", which is probably what will happen.
