It is interesting how Ben didn't say anything to Jack when Kate took his phone. Ben knew Kate was going to find Naomi. He didn't even say anything when Naomi left.

i think that he knew the kate was somewhat untrusting of naomi and the "rescue".....he knew jack was dead set on "saving everyone" as usual.....maybe he thought that it was a chance that kate would decide to scratch the rescue.....and boy did he ever love it when jack found that the phone was missing and he was able to rub it in that kate took it when she hugged him to get that dig in there that she used him
