now then, I going to have to say that a very good percentage of us has never been involved in a plane crash......me neither. So, my point would be this, if I'm ever on a plane that crashes, hopefully never, but, if that were to happen. I believe that I would be like Syaid did, and have to go out and look around, explore the island that I was on, maybe find the hotel on the other side with a 5 star restrant in it.....sorry, went away, back now.... I don't think that I would be staying on the beach, just setting there.......daaaaaa, sure hope someone will come looking for us...... now don't get me wrong, I would want to get off the island but I would want to know what is there also....

i mentioned on another thread that i would give myself a week tops as i would be far too curious and nosey and end up being killed by smokie in the jungle after wandering off!

I'd try to find a way to ferment bananas and coconuts so I could get drunk for a couple of days. Then I'd explore a lot. But I'd have to be careful about getting hurt, because I don't think health insurance covers sprained ankles resulting from running from smoke monsters and polar bears.

But don't forget that in almost every case of a plane crash occurring rescue crews are at the scene very quickly. Planes usually don't disappear from radar and lose all contact before crashing, not to mention already having strayed from the course by thousands of miles, so this case is pretty unique.

With that said, I would most likely sit there and wait to be rescued in a realistic situation lol, but I've always said that if I was one of the Oceanic survivors I would have immediately started organizing the construction of a massive fortress/dwelling/shelter. Shelter and acquiring resources are pretty much the two most important parts of survival.

I want in on the Dharma beer! :D

Yeah I think for the first while you'd be sure that rescue was gonna come and terrified you'd miss it so you'd stay on the beach! And the same people went investigating a lot so I think the general group just waited on news from them!

Me, I'd tend to a raging smoke fire to be scene day and night. By the time I finished all the bottles off the drink cart, I would start thinking about settling in for the long term and exploring. Oh, and TQ and I would use our body heat to stay warm at night.

You must watch Survivorman, too, huh Rain?! I'd be Shannon....It's hot....I'm gonna get some sun, check out that Sawyer guy, wait for help lol ok maybe not that bad. I think in the beginning, for sure though I'd stay on that beach assuming help would be on the way. After some time I'd prolly be more like Kate~if you are going to be stuck there might as well get out and roam around as well as play the field haha

03-03-2008, 11:34 PM
I would "take a bite of the apple", put on a coconut bra and grass skirt and be ravished by Jack and Sawyer:) (after checking out the island, gathering firewood and food of course:))

Ok now I'm just wishing I was on the island with all the "heat" talk. 72 degrees yesterday and now its 32 with a chance of snow. I'll take smokie if it means turning in my winter coat ;) and getting marshmallows

I agree Patch, but then things could get saggy? The chaffing is why I gave up the idea to use a coconut to hold the boys secure.

well, we would have to start with the coconut just for effects....of course it would shed off later.....after awhile I'd imagine those shells would hurt trying to hold the girls up hahaha:p

Oh God! I remember one time I was staying with two guys in County Clare, and we decided to make our own cocktails. WELL......... I was never as drunk in all my life! We called it

'The Paintstripper'

named by me because you know when you mix a load of colours together when you're painting, it all turns a kinda greyish colour? Well, we put in every drink under the sun in the bloody cocktail and it turned that colour - there was rum, vodka, peppermint liquor - loads of other stuff including peach schnapps - now peach schnapps and peppermint liquor are just foul when mixed, it was disgusting! But we all drank it and next thing I was crawling around the floor, laughing my head off. I remember seeing swans too, and remember the boys stuffing bacon and sausages into my mouth to try sober me up, it was mad!

Not really. But I did try once. It was amaretto, chocolate liqueur, and coconut rum chilled and strained into a martini glass. Kinda like an Almond Joy candy bar. It was okay, kinda strong. Never went back to it.

HAHAHAHA Ah no, if you think I did anything with the boys you're wrong! I remember one of them was gay and we ended up watching 'Queer as folk' for what seemed to be an eternity the next day when I was hungover. The other one did try it on with me but I'm sure I passed out!

HAHAHAHA I swear I was surprised myself! I think I saw the swans in a pond somewhere, I'm sure we took a walk at some point and I sang to an old man, it was a mad night! And I've had mad nights!

HAHAHAHAHA I promise if there's a forum meetup we'll all make The Paintstripper! And film the results! HAHAHA! God yes, when I'm really drunk I don't feel hungry at all, just numb, cos normally I'm a savage when it comes to food! So it was a sign of pure drunkenness that I didn't want the bacon and sausages!

Here's a good one and for real:

Get a mason jar and put in cut pineapple. Fill with Vodka and place in freezer for two days. Take out, strain and drink. Delicious!!! The perfect LOST cocktail.
