The "Thunderhead" storm {Is this a doorway?)

What about that "Thunderhead" storm that they had to pass into on the way back to the ship? What if that storm is the door in and out of the island's sphere of influence to other times and places? At times in past episodes, a storm had come over the cast members on the island at the exact same time as some of the most strange events on the show happened. Could there be a link to this storm and the events on the island? Could the island {and the people one it} be transported in some way with the passing of the storm over it? :confused:

Could the storm have taken the polar bear away from the island and dumped it where it was found in the desert? Could the Nigerian plane, Desmond's Sail Boat, and the old ship The Black Rock got taken to the island by this storm? Could the storm have been man made by Dharma, and is now forever passing through time and space?

I think you may be on to something. The polar bear being transported seems a bit far-fetched, but I agree, that the storm being a doorway of sorts would make sense.

perhaps the storm has something to do with the monster. if i remember correctly the monster has lightning bolts in it when it is looking at eko and could be made of cloud lol. its kinda far fetched i know. just summat that came into my mind as i read the thread

I was thinking about the cloud monster being part of that storm too, but did not know how to put it into words as well as you have. I do think there is a strong relationship there.

yeah, I think the storm is a portal, too, or something. Although it's not the only way, which makes me wonder. The plain didn't go through a storm? But Desmond went through a storm. maybe everyone went through a storm, they just didn't show it. as for the polar bear caught up in the storm, poor polar bear.

If you remember the plane was flying through clear skies when it crashed. So far we have been led to assume that it was Desmonds failure to push the button on time that crashed the plane.

I noticed that the skies were fine as soon as they went through it too. I think that was some sort of passing through thing.

i posted last week that i think that the storm was going to be a portal/dimension to the island....."follow the exact bearing"....remember too that Des is in some type of storm at sea then ends up washed ashore on the island...was this the same storm? when i saw the previews it reminded me of contact where jodie foster was in the device and the atmosphere was changing beneath her before going into the wormholes

I don't think that the storm is the only way to the island. but it may be a way to the island via another dimension.

I hope I can make this make a bit of sence here with an idea I have.

What if there are a number of alternate realities with slight differences, and a number of flight 815s entered other dimensions that are not that much different then their own originating one. Could be that the crashed 815 plane at the bottom of the ocean IS flight 815 as well, but one from another dimension then our freighter crew and island survivors are from. The found flight 815 at the sea bottom could have been from another dimension all together that happened to pass through the storm and ended up there? Where is there? I don’t know. But boy this is FUN to think about no matter what! Shows like this are so great. I think that Dharma did some bad stuff and messed with things that they should not have. Remember Jacob said “HELP ME”. Why? This could be why people come back from the dead at time and are seen. The could be alive in one dimension but yet dead in another. The whispers could be coming from another dimension out of phase with our own. the island is a place where these dimensions come together. A vortex like place.

You guys got me thinking about that movie Millennium from the late 80's.

People from a dying future would time travel onto a plane that they knew was going to crash and steal people off the plane. The plane would crash, and no one ever knew that people were stolen off into the future.

Don't remember all the details, but it was something like that. I think there was even a storm or lightening involved when they jumped onto the plane.

If you remember, once they got through the storm it was daytime and the sky was clear as a bell. Sounds like time or dimension to me.
