Claire, Aaron, Kate and Jack

ok, bear with me, as this is my first post, and i apologise if this has already been mentioned, but I haven't read it anywhere.
There are 2 small points that have been bothering me, and just won't go away.

First, I assume that the baby Kate is looking after is Aaron, I realise that other people have read this differently, but thats the conclusion I came to. Ok, anyway, Kate is bringing up Aaron for whatever reason. BUT wasn't Claire warned ages ago, I think season 1, by the creepy clairevoyant that no one but Claire should bring up the child. Now, at the time, I assumed he'd meant not letting aaron be brought up by adoptive parents and/or The Others, but now... I dunno, perhaps he was warning about Kate bringing him up? But why?

I don't have any answers btw, the question just won't get out of my head.

Oh, the Second thing. I swear that at Kate's trial, Jack tells the pre-arranged story of how mostly everyone dies in the crash. But... hang on a minute... does he say 8 people survived the crash. But only 6 made it back to become the Oceanic 6... so whats their story about why the other 2 didn't make it back, and who could they be?

Just a thought...

If your question is why isn't Claire raising Aaron then the answer might be that she dies.

No, sorry, I'm not explaining myself properly. I figure we'll find out what happens to Claire later on. But what I'm getting at is the fact that at the beginning (series 1 ish) Claire is specificly warned that her child must not be brought up by anyone but herself. Now, lo and behold, Aaron is now being brought up by someone else.
It just seems a bit of a coincidence, thats all.
If anything the question is more along the lines of, was the warning about Kate bring up her son, and why would that be something to warn against?

I thought the same thing but I went back to watch it again and he said the marshal died in the plane crash and that he never spoke to him.

1. The creep, at first, did tell Claire not to give the baby up and to not go to L.A. (where she was going to give up the baby). But, the creep later tracked her down to convince her to get on the plane.

2. Yes, Jack said eight. No, the marshall is not one of them because Jack said he died in the crash. The plane crashed in the water and heroic Kate got them to shore. So we know that Hurley, Jack, Kate, Sayid, Jin and Sun are the 06 (there are spoilers out there that these are the six). So, who are dead no.s 7 and 8? Its unknown, but they have to be 815ers and there are not many major 815ers left. Possibly Locke, Claire, Bernard, Rose, Sawyer. Outside chance of Michael and Walt. They could be bit characters. I bet Claire is one.

I think that Claire dies and kate raises the baby...and yes the psychic tells claire that the only way her baby will be safe is if she raises him....no one else can....i think that maybe the other 2 could be charlie and claire....charlie saved them with opening communications to the island and i think that claire dies in the next few shows

Claire would have to be one of the 8 survivors originally...if only to explain the baby. She gave birth and died prior to being rescued or in childbirth.

We do find out that the physic was a scarm artist. Remember when eko goes to see the girl that died. That was her father. He said he makes a living off scaming people, gathering information and pretending to be a physic.

we don't know for sure if their story is that Claire was one of the 8 because they never state if "Aaron" is Kate's "biological" baby or adoptive baby...if they've made up a story why not cover up Claire as well...perhaps another way of protecting Aaron from others, don't forget that Kate was the one that delivered Aaron and helped raise him.

As for the physic, he did admit to Ecko that he was fake, but he did do that because Ecko was sent to his house to prove or disprove that his daughter was miracle. Say for arguments sake he is a lier but what if that one moment he had an actual reading, after all his own daughter was right about Ecko and his brother. So could it not be possible that for one time he was telling the truth?

I believe that Kate has represented that Aaron is her biological son because her mother pleads with Kate to see "her" grandson. So this is another part of the lie. I do not know how Kate accomplishes this given time line problems for pregnancy, island, and Aaron's age.

As far as the psychic goes, if he truly was psychic then could he see something very disturbing about Ecko and didn't want his daughter to connect with him? So he said he was a fake.

I think it's entirely possible that the psychic is in the employ of whoever it may be that is trying to get that particular set of people onto the Island.

I'm Guessing The People Who Left The Island Are Kate, Jack, Sayid, Hurley And Yes..... Sun And Jin. She Will Die If She Has Her Baby On The Island Remember?
Those Are The Only People Not Affected By The Radiation When The Implosion Happened.

They Would Have No Problem Getting Off. Maybe Claire Is Still Alive On The Island And For Some Reason Kate Took Aaron. Thats Why Jack Doesn't Want To See Baby, Its His Nephew, Because He Knows The Real Mom Is Still Alive.

Exactly this is what I think. Im kinda also thinking that the supposed crock physic was lying to ecko for some reason maybe because he was tryna hide something maybe. Or he didnt want all the attention to be all on his daughter and family. I dont know but I hope we find out more about this.

No Aaron was not on the plane, but born on the island, so he would not be considered an 815 survivor. Of course, this is premised on the 06 survivor story (lie) and if they discussed Aaron's birth on the island and who was the real mom....
