Look at him. That looks like Roger Linus, Ben's father. It is a fathers anonymous meeting in the cabin.

The person has long brown hair. If you watch the episode again, you can see that when they move. Plus John Locke has blue eyes, and these eyes aren't blue.

Yeah I always thought it was Locke, but like someone said, his eyes are blue.

The writers/producers/directors do a great job of confusing things :)
We all think its Locke because he is the one that shows up quickly after the incident. I think the poster may be right about it being Roger. You can see hair that appears to be tucked behind the ear, so that would be long hair, and it is dark.
But the island/Jacob has taken living form before, for example Walt. So it could be Desmond who also has long hair. It is not Mikhile, he is holding the grenade when it explodes at end of S3 i.e. dead.
Roger is the best bet :) Good job mate.

The only problem with Roger is that Hurley and Sawyer found his body in the blue van when they were drinking beers. Even had his name on his jump suit. Some could say that maybe Ben didn't really want his father to die so he staged it, but we saw Ben put the gas mask on and let the van go. I don't think its Roger, BUT I feel like I do remember seeing that painting of the dog thats in the cabin also in Ben's house when he was a boy....but I would have to go back and watch the episode just to be sure. Interesting theory though.
I think Locke is too obvious to the be the eye...he appeared right after Hurley freaked out and yes Locke does have blue eyes and more wrinkles. I think we'll be surprised to find out this "eye" is someone we never would have expected!! :)

I'm pretty sure the "eye" is Jacob. We all agree (I think) that it wasn't Jacob, as we saw him last, in the rocking chair. I think the bigger question is who was in the chair. My vote is for Christian.

Look at him. That looks like Roger Linus, Ben's father. It is a fathers anonymous meeting in the cabin.the eye has to be dezmond b.c the eye is a darkish color and it most definetly looks like him.

I think it was John Locke in the chair seeing himself as replacing Jacob. The profile looks exactly like him.

i have no idea who the eye is but i have an idea of two people it isn't.
desmond for one.
that eye looks quite rough and the eyebrows and everything are all wrong.
locke for another.
locke has less hair and blue eyes.

The man in the chair was Christian Shepherd. Why Christian Shepherd was in the chair, I have no clue, but it certainly wasn't John Locke.

It has already been confirmed that Jack's father was in the chair. They interviewed Jorge Garcia(Hurley) and he confirmed that it was Jack's father. And as far as Sawyer and Hurley finding Roger dead, we don't know it was Roger's body. After Ben left, he might not have been dead, but he might have put his suit on another body because he knew Ben might check in on him from time to time. People have a way of not being dying on this island, so he might not have actually died. After watching that new Dharma video of the new station the whole theory of cloning is out there now. That the people on the island are actually clones of the ones who died on 815. That new video of the bunnys was kinda wierd.

I second the notion of the eye being Jacob's eye.

I have no idea who the eye belongs to. :) We all had this same conversation in season two with the glass eye. So, if it happens to be another dude in the show who dies and comes back to life a bunch of times... like Mihkeil, or however you spell it, let me be the first to let me say I told you so. But, this is lost, and probably not bound to repeat itself, I am hoping for the opposite and have this situation be totally awesome.

I'm sure that Hurley couldn't see Jacob, all he saw was Christian Sheppard AND - well, this eye really looks like it's Roger's. If the house's the place for the spirits to meet - then both Christian and Roger are dead, as they are supposed to be.

Also, you can hear the whispers before hurley goes to the cabin, one of the whispers say-every time I see desmond. That was the only one I could clarify.Desmond is very important in this show and the man in the chair looks alot different than he did last year-it looked like Jack's dad.

I dunno - i found this pick of locke and although its not a close up - the eyebrow shape looks pretty similar.

Yet saying that, its too obvious that they want you to think its Locke with him being the first to appear on the scene.

The man in the chair is Christian, Jack's father. The eye is not Cheech Marin, they just do not match. It could be Roger, probably not Desmond, but I can not rule out Locke after looking at his eye vs the one in the attached still.
