I find it odd that no one, not even Claire seems to be missing Charlie. I would expect to see scenes of Claire being sad and lonely ... but no she seems quite happy. Does anyone else find this strange ?

is there anything NOT strange about this show??
Well that's a cop out :P Yes I did find it a bit strange. I wrote it off as the writers pulling us in a new direction.

yes a few people have mentioned that they thought claire seemed to get over it a little bitty to quickly lol! perhaps she is just feeling excited about what is happening or perhaps she is mourning in private. or it could be that the writers dont want to dwell on that too much (or maybe she just isnt a strong enough actress to convey it correctly!)

the writers didn't what to dwell, as one has said. She is mourning in private. They, Claire and Charlie were close, but do we really know how close.....

I know I am glad Charlie is dead!! I didn't much care for his character and was pleased as punch when they finally killed him off.

I think they will get more into Claire's grieving process soon, especially if they
clear up the mystery behind Kate having Aaron. Charlie will probably be involved somehow.

There are too many things that should happen in the show (little things) that there simply isn't enough production time for. I mean, yeah, she should be mourning. And guess what, I think we can assume she is even though they don't take time out of the main plot line (I use the word "main" loosely) to actually show it to us.
To paraphrase someone else's Member Name - "1 Hour Isn't Long Enough".

An hour and half would be better, it would at least make up for the time lost on commercials, and give more time to develop other story lines in the show.

Hmm that's wierd I just made a post on here and it disappered  Anyway, the reason they're not dwelling on this is because, as people have said, they just don't have the time. This season has been the most plot-driven so far I think, and the writers are assuming that we know Claire is grieving. On the other hand, they know we don't know what the hell is going on with this Time Travel business and with the freighter folk, so that's where they're going to place the focus of the show. I'm sure you'll see Claire grieving at some point also, so just don't take this as a sign that something fishy is going on or anything.
Also, don't forget that there are a bunch of crash survivors who we don't even know! They're the extras standing in the background lol. Jimmy Kimmel said something funny about this in an interview with Michael Emerson who plays Ben, referring to how Nikki and Paulo just suddenly showed up for one episode and then were abruptly killed off: "So those two beautiful people just appeared in the last episode, so what, were they just standing aside of the camera the whole show until then?". We only see about 10% of what goes on in the lives of the people on the island.

Im guessing we are going to find out whats going to happen to Claire soon, and with a Claire-centric episode Im sure we will find out more of how she is handling Charlies death.

HAHA Snape, I love your avatar! I love Harry Potter!
Yes, I do think it's strange they're not showing anyone too sad about Charlie - Hurley seemed to be most affected, but they didn't dwell on it since. I don't know if it means anything, but when Claire went missing in season one Charlie wouldn't talk for ages and was completely depressed, so does it mean something that Claire isn't?

It just seems like she got over it quickly because we're not on the island, but really on the island it's been weeks! LOL :)

Yeah, I don't really miss the shaggy little hobbit either.
Just Kidding!!
For a while there he was dying in Desmond's flashes every couple of weeks. How many ways did he die anyway?
I remember:
Lightning strike
Arrow through the throat
Didn't Ethan hang him?
What else?

Let us not forget that thanks to the strike Lost had to cram 8 hours of show into five. So I am sure things all season will be fast-paced and minor stuff glossed over.
