when are we going to learn about what all of this stuff on the island is? They bring in new things every episode but never tell us what the stuff is that we really want to know. they never told us what the black smoke was, what the others were there for and a bunch of more things.

Cant answer that, for me half the excitement of lost is that in every episode, you feel that so many things have came clearer - but so many new questions and confusions start arising.

I can only think that at some point we will reach some climax of questions and confusion and more and more answers and clarity will start appearing.

I think i would be dissapointed if it all got left to the last series - i dont know what id do is the mystery's were never answered!

I cant help but think they are starting to turn a corner and many things will start to surface which explain some of the technicaltys of how and why questions.

I have no doubt that in lost tradition, as 1 questions gets answered, 1 new one comes up, and another questions takes on new meaning.

i know....i feel like we are now going fast forward on a rollercoaster but without having any knowledge of how the H#LL we got there:).lol....i think that season 4 rocks but i want more flashbacks so we can find out how we all got here:)

after it's all said and done. And season 6 is over...we'll be wondering about some of the unanswered questions that are still out there....
questions like, Whats the black smoke ? What/why bring up the black rock? How do the hostiles get there ? just to name a few......

It's pretty clear that all of the mysteries on the show are linked and that one single great mystery holds the answers to all of them. They can't reveal what the black smoke is or what Ben's goal is or what the significance of the Black Rock is because if they did, we would know the ultiamte secret to the show and it would be over right now. Instead, what we're going to see is a slow unravelling of the mystery that will ultimately deliver us the key to all of these riddles. That's the genius of the show, that it's not just a collection of mysteries that can be answered one by one but instead there's something more significant going on. I think you guys have been missing the point lol

If I'm being condescending by believing that I'm right and saying so, than sure I'm condescending and so are most people who know what they're talking about. To be condescending, (I know you don't like dictionaries but they do have a purpose) is defined as speaking down to somebody in a rude way. disapointed, no I'm not, but I can't and don't believe that there is just one answer out there to answer everything thats going on in Lost.. well, other than the caldren that the gods are looking down upon us:)
but seriously, how can the one answer acount for the black smoke, the others, the hostiles, Dharma, Hanso Foundation, Danielle Rousseau crew, all of the Dharma's stations that we know about and those that we don't....the Widmore Corporation, the Frighter people, and all the others things that are out there that I can't remember.

The Dharma Initiative went there for some reason and did some wierd stuff that made it even wierder, a ship was marooned there and now some really powerful people 300 years later are looking for it, all these people crashed there and they were somehow all connected to each other before they crashed, some people who go to the island start time-tripping... All of these wierd occurrences stem from a single source of wierdness: the island. What I'm saying is that once we find out why the island is so wierd, everything else will start to unfold and we'll say, "wow! that makes perfect sense!".

I think most of us agree the cause of the weirdness IS the island, and when the series concludes we will all say that it makes sense, but the fun of this website is getting everyone's opinions on what they think is going on. Some derived from facts some from
speculation, but either way all of us on this website are like the Losties, just trying to
figure out whats going on.

From what I can tell you're the only one who has a problem with me around here. You're constantly calling me condescending any time I claim to know the answers to something or when I say somebody else is wrong. I was never rude when I said that I thought Agmic was wrong, I was very light-hearted about it and there's nothing wrong with that.
