michael faraday (1791-1867) was a great 19th century scientist who discovered the principle of electricity and generation. he was famous for explaining complicated science to simple folk. he also discovered a peice of iron inside a coil of iron with make a magnet.
in 1826 he started the famous royal institution lectures which have been held every year since then except for 3 yrs during world war 1.
for those of you who havnt guessed michael faraday has the same second name as oru daniel faraday. and is also a scientist, and created electro magnets, very much like the one inside the hatch i do beleieve, and the magnetic pull the island seems to have.
and i do recall daniel saying that side effects can be caused by staying too much around radiation or electro magnetic activity.
so this very much links in the the faraday in the past another clever name placement from the lost wrighters. any more info on michael faraday might help us with daniels future.
