my theory on why or how Kate has Aaron.

well you know Desmond told Charlie he saw Claire get on the Chopper. Well you know how Hurley say Charlie what if Claire gets on with them and then she sees Charlie leave Aaron with Kate Jumps off the Chopper and they leave her? She is on the Island and they took the baby. Just an idea sounded a lil better in my head! lol

Someone else brought up a similiar theory. I don't see Claire leaving Aaron to chase after Charlie. I think Claire gets killed, captured or badly hurt and that's why she is seperated from Aaron.

Is Aaron really meant to be on the island? The island might have wanted only claire. But In the very first season the fourtune teller was telling Claire that she can't give the baby up for adoption because they baby is possed or whatever? Does anyone else remember that? Since Kate will end up with Aaron, maybe the island wanted kate to have him. Thats why they brought claire and thats why she had aaron on the island. That means no more claire. or claire gave the choice of letting aaron go

No...i don't think that he knows this and thats the reason that he won't see him....i think that Claire dies and as usual Jack feels responsible for it whether directly or indirectly...so he can't stand to see this little boy and remember how much Claire loved him......also...i think that in the preview for episode next week....we see Claire with Aaron in her arms jump off the freightor.....perhaps she goes with Kate on the heli and when she gets there she realizes that something is really screwy.....I don't know what the hell would make her jump...but looks like she does...theres my 2 cents...lol

If my memory serves the fortune teller didn't come right out and say that Aaron would be possessed he just gets all nervous acting and says she can't give him up (or something to that affect). I think that he saw the plane crash and possibly that the island wanted Aaron and he may have even seen what the island wanted Aaron for, but I don't think that he saw a possession.

i am presently watching that episode right now (raised . . .) the guy actually changed his mind later and was trying to convince claire to get on the plane.
this goes along with another theory of mine that the whole plane crash was planned out somehow.
it might be farfetched but perhaps ben's people got to the man and offered him money to convince her to get on the plane maybe.

ON AN IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE!!

in this episode or the following ("good cowboys have daddy issues" or whatever) claire had a nightmare where john locke tells her "it was your responsibility to take care of him claire, and you GAVE HIM AWAY!"


now tell me this couldn't be conveniently brought back up in the show!
she didn't meet john until the island.
she can't give aaron to anyone until now (season 4, unless the writers were ONLY talking about her willingly giving him to the others.)
but why would claire GIVE aaron away, unless she was dying?
that's the only thing i can't figure out.
