Daniel Faraday told Frank to follow the same coordinates that they came in on. And while they were flying back to the frighter. The compass shows 305.
But remember when Michael and Walt were given to small boat. Doesn't Ben tell him to follow 325????

ummmmm, so the theory is this. Ben knows that the frighter is out there looking for the island. And Ben not wanting anyone to find the island, sends Michael and Walt out.
Now there going at 325...floating out in the middle of no where, when a frighter just happens to come along, they see the small boat that Michael and Walt are on, pick them up just thinking that they got lost and are just trying to help...Not knowing that somehow, Ben got to Michael and now Michael or Walt of both are Ben's man on the boat......

Or maybe Ben sent them somewhere else on purpose. What if there are multiple ways to get off the island so that you end up right where Ben wants you to be whether it be in the middle of the ocean or to the shore of some inhabited island? Has anyone tried to figure out where 305 will take you based on the location of the freighter (near Bali)? Not sure if this can be done.

either way, which ever coordiates you follow, you'll be heading north west away from the island...
