Ok so I just read somewhere that the lady that was in the car accident right before Jack was about to jump off the bridge in the future was Juliette's sister?! I'd have to go back and watch the episode that she's in to see if that is true but wouldn't that be interesting. Juliette had given her sister a series of injections so that she could get pregnant and thats when Ben requested her to come to the island since she was a fertility doctor and could save the pregnant women. Once she got to the island of course we saw the injections weren't working BUT they informed Juliette that her sister was ok and that she was in fact pregnant. Maybe that's why Jack was insistent on doing the surgery?? We see the little boy in the waiting room smile at Jack which would be Juliette's nephew. The boy looked about 5 or 6 which in the timeline would make sense. Anyone have any ideas???

Here's the actress Robin Weigert who played Juliette's sister in past episodes. The other picture is the picture of the woman who was in the car crash...compare and tell me what you think. I think it really could be her! (Sorry I couldn't find a good screencap from 'Not in Portland' where we are first introduced to Rachel, her sister)

That is really interesting. Since everyone seems related to everyone in this show, you could be on to something!!!

Another side note, the woman's son's name who was in the crash is Julian. That's pretty close to Juliette whom I believe she said she wanted to name her baby after...hmmmm :p

That can't be Juliett's son unless that episode is 3 years into the future. Juliette had only been there for a little over three years. Her sister just got pregnant when she left which takes 9 months away which would make the baby only about 2 1/2 at the time of the last episode.

yes i agree, in the episode where ben takes Juliette to Mikeil's station...it shows juliette's sister and her son at about it looks like 1 or 2ish. Ben then says that her sons name is Julien.

Which would make sense if he was about 5 now, between the time Juliette was on the island and the Losties landed and were there, THEN get off for god knows how long...it could be a definite possibility. Just throwing it out there :)

I didn't catch the Julien thing. I guess it has to be. Maybe that is why Bernard and Rose are in the show. They really haven't shown any history on either of them other than when Bernard met Rose and his proposal. Maybe Bernard is Julien's grandfather. Sometime ages are accelerated in TV shows. Who knows maybe they are on the island for several years. I didn't see any dates in the flash forwards.

I agree that the woman in the accident could have been Juliette's sister and the little boy her son. Seems too close to be just a coincidence. Also, keep in mind that we can't really establish what date or time these flashbacks are happening so they very well may be 5 or 6 years in the future. Just because the freighter is on its way now doesn't mean anyone leaves with them or leaves right away. All we know is that at least 6 of them get of the island at some point and at some point start realizing they need to go back. And we can't forget all this talk about time travel, so we shouldn't rule anything out.

It could be, but IMDB only lists her on two episodes: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0917848/
They are both episodes with Juliet flashes... not the one with Jack.
In the Jack flash regarding the accident S3E22, the doc says: "You pulled this womans 8 year old son out of a flaming car and then you went back for her"
"Mrs. Arland" the doc says in S3E23 when talking about her statement of the night of the accident.
So Juliet was on the island for 3 years, her sister had baby lets say 2 years ago, so the kid was 2 at end of S3. So between S3 present time and the flashforward 6 years had spanned if the Julian is Rachel's son. And he probably is.

It was never Juliette's son. Juliette helped her sister get pregnant... it had nothing to do with Juliette's egg etc. It was her sisters child through and through.

Did they ever say the first name of the girl who was in the accident?

her sister tells her she is pregnant before she goes to the island and once there, they show her footage of her sister and her nephew and richard films the daate for them (cant remember what date it was) and the child is about 2.5. he also tells her the boy was called julian.
it could be her as they might not always credit folks to episodes to keep things a mystery and we dont know how many years into the future jacks flashforward was.
if we take into account the michael is in the coffin theory and he is survived by a teenage son it means we are looking at at least 3 years as i am sure walt is meant to be 10 years old at the time of the crash.

My OH is a keen watcher of Lost but not a great fan of the theorising. Yet when we watched Season 3 finale even he said "Julian?? Oh my god, it's Juliette's sister in the car!"
He would be SO pleased if the one single theory he has had in the whole of the last 3 series turned out to be right!

somebody on here mentioned a 2009 luggage tag in jacks flashforward so this might also support this theory as would that not make him about 7.5/8ish?

i read somewhere else on here that the doc. who operated on the woman in the car crash had the same last name as Bernard and Rose. Just throwing that out there.

Mrs. Arland was the name of the accident victim that crashed into Jack's jeep while he was contemplating suicide on the bridge.
Bernard's last name appears to be Nadler... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Nadler
She could still be related, marriage name change, etc.
